I've always wanted check out the frozen waterfalls at Starved Rock. Yesterday was a perfect day with the warmth slowly starting to melt some of the ice, making it translucent.
fô pas véner mon FRERE sinon t'en paye les conséquences.. ce jour là, la terre a risqué de disparaitre, heureusement il restait un peu de Kryptonite

About
3 days, 2 nights, 4 friends.
Road trips are fun. Shame the weather didn't provide super excellent conditions, but that's the gamble of Landscapes.
This is Sandy Beach in NSW. A little headland we found via Google Maps on the road.
More updates on the Blog to come from the trip, such as 'behind the scenes' videos.
Processing
Camera Landscape profile. Punch Preset, exposure adjustments and highlights. Curves for some more punch. Ever so small crop. Some blacks too.
This rock always looks interesting to view but IMO always looks a bit odd in a photograph and quite difficult to make something of. I think possibly this is because of the angle of the rock and the limited angles you can shoot it.
Canada Day celebration at Jack Poole Plaza last night. Fireworks lit up the sky over Coal Harbour as crowds of people rushed to the shoreline for a better view. Unfortunately the Red Kryptonite crystals prevented me from doing the same, so I held back and documented the event in my civilian clothes without revealing my true identity as Superman! I tried relentlessly to get the crowd to stay still for a second or two but nobody was listening except for a few.

This amazing rock formation is found up at the Sunshine Coast. We arrived as usual early and well before sunsrise. The rocks were not slippery but had a fantastic shine which I thought would be interesting to capture.
Isn't it that when you have the shot on the computer you see even more than what you saw when you took the shot?
We had the dreaded blue skies for 5 of our 6 days we were at Wastwater. For hiking blue skies are pretty rubbish too because there is no escape from the direct sun. We hiked 10 mountains during our stay and by the end we were exhausted. So anyway, we haven't got many images to share from our time there - well not good ones anyway. We like this one - the summits sticking out of the shadows.
You're my kryptonite
You keep making me weak
Yeah, frozen and can't breathe
Something's gotta give now
'Cause I'm dying just to make you see
That I need you here with me now
'Cause you've got that one thing..
I just got the JL batsuit in the middle in a BL order, so it seemed appropriate to use the Snyder hype to get some views.
Left to right:
BvS armored suit (with Kryptonite spear)
JL regular suit
Knightmare suit (with gun)
acrylic on canvas, 70 x 100 cm
Red kryptonite simply weakened Superman, but to a greater degree
Blue kryptonite is the antidote to the random and bizarre effects of Red kryptonite.
Black kryptonite can split a Kryptonian into two separate entities: one good and the other evil.

Seseh Beach, Canggu, Bali
One of the famous beach in Canggu that still undeveloped Pantai Seseh (Seseh Beach ) is rugged and windswept, with dark volcanic sand.
The beach itself is nothing to shout about and locals with gather before sunset to gaze at the waves and the setting sun.
I spent 30minutes walking around the beach looking for some nice spot untill i found this vivid green rock..i was lucky ..there was no body around this spot :D
Have a nice weekend everyone~!

Real Name: John Corben
Occupation: Professional Criminal
Gender: Male
Height: 6'8
Weight: 313lbs (142kg)
John Corben was a professional con man until he was fatally injured in a car crash. The dying Corben was founds by Prodessor Emmet Vale, a specialist in cybernetics. Vale took the helpless Corben to his lab and transplanted his brain into a cyborg body powered by Kryptonite. Enraged, Corben killed Vale for what he had done to him.
I'd love to hear what you think.
TGIF to all my dear Flickr friends. Thank you for the compliments & faves, your friendship, humour and inspiration. Have a great weekend!
Many people believe Kryptonite is made of rum. Nay, that is but a pirate's libation. Genuine Kryptonite is a secret recipe of something much more sinister. At the Happy Fish Bicycle Club we serve only genuine Kryptonite to supermodels and superheroes.

As anyone who had a letter published in a 1950s comic will tell you, the path to publication began with combing through a comic and spotting an error in continuity, a misspelling, a lapse in judgment -- anything about the comic that made the issue imperfect as a work of art -- and force the editor to defend himself.
As a result the letters pages were often filled with the stupidest shit in the world, and the readership was usually made to look like fools.
Back in 1959 my nine-year old sister Ruthie and I wrote letters to various Superman-related comics to try to get our names in print. At first we wrote rude letters that got us nowhere. One day I was reading an AQUAMAN story, a second-feature in Adventure Comics * ; and at the end of the story, Aquaman is playing underwater vet to various acquatic life. In the last panel Aquaman says aloud -- underwater -- "Next patient, please!" and I knew I had my best shot at getting published.
Readers were aware that Aquaman could speak on dry land; but underwater he never directly addressed a fish. Instead, he'd think to himself, "I've just directed that giant octopus to put the squeeze on that middle aged guy wearing the Speedo. He'll summer in the mountains next time!" He always spoke passively of communicating with undersea life, but he never directly spoke to them.
This was the first occasion where I'd ever seen a dialogue balloon used underwater! These stupid comic book adults had finally gone too far!
I sent my letter to the editor in New York. A couple of weeks later I got this nice postcard from DC Comics telling me that they'd received my letter; but due to the volume of mail received, they couldn't guarantee that my letter would be published. But, they added, keep buying our comics, kid! Make us rich!
About six weeks later ADVENTURE COMICS # 267 appeared on the newsstands with my letter published! Immortality at last!
* AQUAMAN rotated monthly with CONGORILLA, which starred slick-haired, moustachioed Congo Bill, whose magic ring transformed him into the huge, golden-haired Congorilla, a super-strong ape with Bill's puny human brain. The gorilla's brain, meanwhile, would reside in Congo Bill's head; and every now and then you'd see Congo Bill raving like a lunatic behind bars in some jungle parish.
I love the Bizarro World.
Originally Bizarro was a tragic figure, an imperfect Frankenstein-like clone of Superboy who briefly menaced Smallville with his super powers until Superboy was forced to kill him with cloned kryptonite or send him into the Phantom Zone or something. Probably the latter. He reemerged years later to create thousands of clones of himself, Lois Lane, Superboy's pet dog Krypto, Mr. Mxyzptlk, and anyone else who stood in his way, and shlepped everyone to an empty planet somewhere.
On the Bizarro World the law clearly stated that everything you did had to be the opposite of what people did on earth - imagine, if you will, a world where everyone acted like Dick Cheney does on our own planet. It was a law that sort of undermined itself by betraying the very principles it was meant to uphold (kind of like the Patriot Act); in other words Bizarro World citizens who violated the law should have been rewarded, not punished.
Needless to say Bizarro evolved from tragic character to harmless buffoon once he got his own second-feature stories in Adventure Comics in the 60s.
This issue from March 1962 was published just a few months before Marilyn Monroe's death the following summer.
By the way - I used the phrase "if you will" earlier because it's one Dick Cheney uses in every speech he makes and every interview he gives.
