A drilling barge in the Connecticut River on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, is being used to gather information for the Hinsdale, N.H.-to-Brattleboro bridge project. New Hampshire Department of Transportation Project Manager Don Lyford said “We are drilling within the river to gather sub-surface information so we can design the bridge foundations for the project.”

Crews shut down the westbound lane of Route 9, in Marlboro, Vt., as a tractor-trailer jackknifed on the snowy corner on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018. No injuries were reported. State police said the crash was caused by the truck going to fast for road conditions. Crews hope to have the road reopen in both lanes by 6 p.m.

The fire, which was first called in at 7:58 a.m., was updated to a third alarm at 8:10 a.m. Crews shutdown a section of Putney Road as they tap various hydrants to help battle the blaze.

Jake Hamilton, of Hamilton Farm in Brattleboro, Vt., harvests nearly 300 tons of corn feed from a field near the Retreat Meadows on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017. It took nearly four days to harvest the field using a Pull Tight Pull Harvester. Crews used a truck that can carry six tons of feed back to the farm.
