A collection of koi fish swimming in a dark, textured pond. The fish, displaying a variety of colors including vibrant oranges, reds, yellows, and whites, create a striking contrast against the shadowy, mottled water.

The image is taken from a slightly elevated angle, offering a clear view into the depths of the pond where the koi gracefully glide.

The water's surface, reflecting hints of light, adds a sense of depth and movement to the composition. The focus is sharp on the fish, highlighting their intricate patterns and the subtle ripples they create as they navigate the water.

The overall effect is a serene and visually rich portrayal of these aquatic creatures in their natural habitat.

Koi ponds located along Laguna Beach

Canyon Road in Laguna Beach l, Ca

Saw this year's Spring Festival set and loved the koi pond... But I didn't know how to incorporate it into my smaller mini modular sets... until I saw Sander's design of a small straight river design and it was perfect. However I didn't get the right plates haha... I still need to work a lot on this.

I have to wait more than an houre for them to swim in this spot for me shoot this shot

AI imagined images that I created and edited in Photoshop and Lightroom for the final scene.

I tried to go for a full white bridge but it looks really strange. :( Will need to get the original colours after this...

This is a koi pond at feeding time. One of the larges ponds in the world.

MINIATURE GARDEN?

Made this for a small bridal show but we didn't cut it. Really made it for my husband. He loves tattoo inspired cakes and we are celebrating his birthday today and I have been dying to make him a cool cake and he always tells me not to because we are so busy. So I stayed up until 5 a.m. and surprised him with this! He really likes it :) And of course, its his favorite cake: cappuccino chocolate chip cake with mocha butter cream.

Week 39: Selective Color

I almost gave Mr. Koi Fish a speech bubble that said: "Enough with the Selective Color, already", LOL. I am not a huge fan of the technique, but embraced it for this week's theme.

Our Daily Challenge: What kind of photography do you do most often …macro …portrait …landscape …sports …wildlife …fashion …architecture? Show us what your favourite subject is. I thought about this, hmmmm, I do a lot of images of my Scottie, Maggie Mae, and I do a lot of self portraits, so I thought perhaps I'd do a self portrait with Miss Maggie, but really my favorite type of photography is that which is challenging and creative. The type may change from day to day, but the creative process is what makes photography so fascinating for me. Ask me the same question tomorrow, and the image I produce will be completely different. C'est la vie!

Thank you so much for your views, comments and favs. I really do appreciate every one!

Me and my best friend decided to get a little bit creative and after 8 hours of work this is the result ! Hope you like it :)

I'm 19 hours in so far.

Still have quite a lot to go as far as shading, color, and more outlining on my inner bicep and extension to the chest.
