Ecosystems are more than natural assets—they are a foundation for climate

adaptation.

During the Public Consultation Workshop on Monitoring and Evaluation of

Mangrove-based Climate Change Adaptation Actions, Franky Zamzani shared

insights on Indonesia’s evolving framework for Ecosystem-based Adaptation

(EbA), emphasizing the importance of linking policy, science, and monitoring

systems to strengthen resilience in the face of climate change.

As climate impacts continue to intensify, measuring the effectiveness of

adaptation actions becomes increasingly important. Strong monitoring and

evaluation systems help ensure that ecosystem-based solutions not only

protect nature, but also support the well-being and adaptive capacity of

communities.
