Opened in August, 2014, the Mingo Creek Trail connects the town of Knightdale from Mingo Creek Park to the Neuse River Trail, just north of Anderson Point Park in Raleigh. Along its 3.4-mile paved surface, you will pass some residential areas of Knightdale (with a few connections to local streets such as Widewaters Parkway), ride through wooded areas and across long boardwalks over wetlands.
Where the trail intersects Hodge Road, there is a slight detour to rejoin the trail. If coming from Knightdale, head north (right turn) onto Hodge Road, then take your first left onto Princeton Town Street into a residential development. Ride on Princeton Town Street a very short distance and you will see the entrance to the trail on your left.
The trail also runs parallel to the Coastal Carolina Railway line for much of the trail's length.

While the river's water quality is generally satisfactory for most uses, concentrations of dissolved oxygen, iron, manganese, and bacterial levels sometimes reach undesirable levels.

For those familiar with the fairytale Jack and the Beanstalk. These are spikes from the giant's HO layout, used when he hand lay's his track. So assuming that HO is 1/87 scale and a spike for humans hand laying track is approx .125 in. The spikes seen are about 15 ft tall. Avg human height is about 5"10" so the giant must check in at about 710 feet tall, but I bet it is some kinda layout... In reality, it is artwork for Knightdale Station, in Knightdale, NC.

2020 was the year of the covid 19 pandemic, travel and family gathering restrictions. Constant fear mongering by politicians, mandated masks, incessant messages of threats against workers. Christmas is celebrated on December 25 and is both a sacred religious holiday and a worldwide cultural and commercial phenomenon. For two millennia, people around the world have been observing it with traditions and practices that are both religious and secular in nature. Christians celebrate Christmas Day as the anniversary of the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, a spiritual leader whose teachings form the basis of their religion. Popular customs include exchanging gifts, decorating Christmas trees, attending church, sharing meals with family and friends and, of course, waiting for Santa Claus to arrive. December 25—Christmas Day—has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1870.
