When I reached for my sketch book to have a crack at illustrating this week's Illustration Friday topic ("Wide") I found my 4yo daughter had hijacked it earlier today and drawn her own take on the theme. Bizarre -- she has never drawn a face like this! I have only ever seen smiles. I'll have to ask her about it tomorrow morning.

It is drawn with a fluorescent orange highlighter pen, which adds to the effect, but doesn't scan very well.

We visited good friends in Argentina last summer and they showed us around in their newly acquired Renault Kangoo. My son drew some for me to make a softie.

Found Drawings. Found a map with some kids drawings from '81 in it. On the map there was a label with "Ludo's drawings" on it.

Just like found photos, I find it very fascinating to find kids drawings, don't know why...

Probably stuff from Ludo's livingroom. Not sure what the middle thing is.. looks like a boat or something.. or maybe a lamp?

Laptop Bag made using Nicole Mallalieu's pattern. I started this a LONG time ago but was unhappy with the Timtex interfacing I used -- too stiff. Here it is completed with fusible batting (as directed in the pattern instructions) instead of Timtex. Much better! The "soldier" is my daughter's drawing of daddy, made when she was about four.

Sho works it out, even with no hands or feet.

She's foxxxy, fierce and fabulous.

No one knows this, but she inspired Courtney Love's wardrobe back in the 90's.

One tip though, princess, cut down on the eye makeup next time. You don't need to overdo to look good.
