Seven Mile Bridge which is closed except to foot traffic and only accessible for 2.2 miles out to Pigeon Key. This is the old bridge which spanned the longest section of ocean between keys but is falling apart and it has an eerie post-apocalyptic feel to it. We walked the total 4.4 miles out and back and watched the sunset from the bridge on Wednesday. A gentleman at one point on our way back pointed out a huge school of about 15 black tipped sharks visible in the shallows below. The photos don't really show them very well. The largest was probably close 12 feet long or more and the smallest, maybe 3 feet. We later saw them jump up out of the water after some fish, but weren't fast enough to photograph it.
