Seen in Key West, not sure what the story behind this is

The decedents of his cats still live at his home in Key West, this was on the front porch of the house. Ernest Hemingway was given a white six-toed cat by a ship's captain and many of the 50-60 cats who live on the house and museum grounds are descendants of that original cat, named Snow White. Key West is a small island and it is possible that many of the cats on the island are related.

No idea what kind of bird this is, but it had stunning bright color

Ft. Zachary Taylor is a national Landmark. It sits at the Western end of Key West and it is a prime spot to watch the sunset. If you are in Key West, you should go visit Fort Zach.

"Walk away if you want to.

Its ok, if you need to.

Well, you can run, but you can never hide

From the shadow thats creepin up beside you.

And, theres a magic runnin through your soul,

But you cant have it all.

(whatever you do)

Well, Ill be two steps behind you

(wherever you go)

And Ill be there to remind you

That it only takes a minute of your precious time

To turn around and Ill be two steps behind.”.

Thank you all for your comments, favs and invitations

If you are lacking T shirts, tongs or thongs this is the place to find everything you need in island ware and trinkets. Genuine Mayan art made while you wait can be had along the many strip centers that seem to spring up overnight sort of like crabgrass.

Like many interesting streets such as this the world over one side is always more interesting than the other so I decided to double up to add to the fun.

Perhaps the most famous grave marker in Key West Cemetery. This is in the mausoleum shown in photo 0075. Taken by Ron.
