The Island's flag

A Key West Chicken display in front of El Siboney restaurant. Key West has lots of chickens on the island and there is a city ordinance to protect them!

I want to call him Billy because he sort of looks like a Billy. 'Most people want to see my tats" he told me when I asked for permission to photograph his face.

I think I appreciate Billy and his ilk. They were in great abundance in Key West and I suppose every crowded place. Safety in numbers. I'm a bit shy about asking for permission to photograph faces but I'm getting better and bolder. I need to start carrying some permission slips but most of the Billy's of the world don't want to sign anything. But they do add character to the world and I enjoy having them around.
