Amtrak's Keystone train 650 left Harrisburg on time Wednesday afternoon but not without some help. The protect diesel, GE B32-8WH AMTK 514, which is staged in Harrisburg to help disabled trains, was pressed into service after ACS-64 #607 failed the night before. Amtrak is still breaking in the new Siemens electric locomotives which they started taking delivery of a year ago. So far over two dozen are in service with more on the way from California.
