Key Gompa is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Gelugpa sect located on top of a hill at an altitude of 4,166 meters (13,668 ft) above sea level, close to the Spiti River, in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh, Lahaul and Spiti district, India.
It is the largest monastery of the Spiti Valley and a religious training center for lamas. It reportedly had 100 monks in 1855.
The monastery is dedicated to Lochen Tulku, the 24th reincarnation of the great translator Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo.

(Best viewed at full resolution) After two disappointing sunsets on my spring break vacation to Florida, as the sunlight faded away to oblivion and the stars began to shine, here came the clouds I was wanting for sunset.... I finally got limes to grow on a lime tree in the garden. Now seemed like the perfect time to test a lens that I bought for a really affordable price. The Meke 85mm f/1.8 was on sale, so I tried it. Not bad for the price. Now I have to find the sweet spot for aperture. The lighting was really bright coming through the lens, so focusing was difficult even with other lenses.
I own and test a lot of lenses because I visit thrift stores, vintage stores, estate sales, and whatnot. One thing I’ve learned is you can’t assume every lens is good or bad. You really have to test them and figure out where they fit best in your arsenal. The Meke 85mm is affordable, lightweight, and has decent focusing speed. Now I have to find the aperture where this lens performs best. It's for street photography, so more tests to come!
