Render of the 'Viola Nouveau' system.

I've included an 'obj'-exporter to Structure Synth, which makes it possible to try out new raytracers.

Rendered using KeyShot 2, a commercial software product made by Luxion, a small Danish company founded by Henrik Wann Jensen (known for Subsurface scattering and Photon Mapping).

Renders are extremely fast, real-time progress, converges to final output in ~20 seconds on my laptop, even using the translucent (Subsurface scattering) materials.

surface modeling practice

I was trying to copy an object along a path in Blender and found a helpful technique called DupliFrames. It's a bit more complex than the "copy on support" function in Hexagon, but yields excellent results. Modelled in Blender, rendered in Keyshot.
