The most handsome Ken ever! It's the Twlight Edward headmold. I was about to buy Edward, but then this doll was announced and I thought, "Amazing!" I'm glad I waited because this Ken is SO much better than Edward 1) He's posable and 2) he doesn't have a layer of gold glitter on. But if I find Edward on the cheap, I might get him anyway.
Beautiful Bride Barbie got a groom! Here's my just-arrived Partytime Ken from 1977, who was sold in Europe and Canada. (I wonder if we got him here in Australia too as we got a lot of the European and Canadian dolls from that time.) His slightly faded 'ghostly' pallor matches Barbie's, and I love that very 70's tuxedo! They are modelling in the Fashion Plaza's Bridal Boutique!

Ken was outside the Do-Rite Donut shop just east of Dearborn on Randolph. He's been homeless for 12 years. I asked him what his biggest need was. "I need Jesus", he said, "I've got cancer". He sleeps on the train and O'Hare when he can. "I don't look like a traveler, so they come right at me and make me leave." Ken was a bit downcast initially, "I haven't made a dollar today", he said. But he appreciated our conversation. "Thanks for talking with me...you never know what's going on with someone until you talk with them. You might change someone's life. We need each other--everybody needs somebody."
