Senate Minority Leader and New York Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer’s Washington, DC office was rendered inoperable on August 3, 2017 morning when nearly two dozen people blockaded the office doors, delivering a letter backed by 15,000 supporters demanding that the Senator oppose Trump’s nominations to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Energy and Natural Resources Act of 2017 (S 1460). More than 1500 people took the streest of Albany and marched fom Sheridan Hollow to the Capitol Building on April 23, 2018 as part of the "Cuomo Walk The Talk" day of action, governor's seat candidates participated in the protest, Democrat Cynthia Nixon marched the streets of Albany and Green Party's Howie Hawkins marched and got arrested later at the Hall of Governors in the Capitol Building. Over a hundred New Yorkers convened at a public garden inside Trump Tower on May 9, 2017; to host a teach-in about fossil fuel divestment and urge New York City to show climate leadership in the face of Trump’s attack on climate change and the Paris Agreement. The teach-in, part of a global week of divestment action, took particular aim at New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer. Stringer oversees the city’s $175 billion pension fund portfolio and faces mounting pressure to divest from fossil fuels and pipelines.

WASHINGTON DC, USA -- Sunday, May 15th, 2016. Hundreds of climate activists protest at a rally organized by the Break Free movement against fossil fuel projects. Demonstrators went to the streets at the nation's capital to protest in front of the White House, calling on the decision makers in Washington DC to support the transition to renewable energy instead of coal, oil and gas energy.
Break Free 2016 is a week of coordinated direct actions that target the most dangerous fossil fuel projects, in an effort to keep coal, oil and gas in the ground and accelerate a just transition to 100% renewable energy. Thousands of people all over the planet are putting their bodies on the line to send a message to polluters and politicians that we need to break free from fossil fuels now.

SEATTLE, WA-- On Friday, September 16, 2016, hundreds of people marched through downtown Seattle in solidarity with the Indigenous water protectors stopping construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline. This event was part of a #NoDAPL week of actions in support of the Standing Rock Sioux in North Dakota.
Thousands of people from over 200 Native Nations have gathered at Sacred Stone Camp in North Dakota to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline. If built, the Pipeline would carry crude oil upstream of the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. Construction of the pipeline has already begun in some areas and has damaged sacred sites.

Climate activists gathered on June 14, 2023 at Brooklyn Borough Hall for a teach-in and art action highlighting successful initiatives implemented this year to combat the climate crisis, reduce consumers' energy expenses, and expose the obstructive climate hypocrisy of National Grid and ConEdison at both the city and state levels.
