The colourful hulls of the kayaks are set against the deep red sand on the beach of Prince Edward Island.
What do you do when a car is blocking yours in the driveway? In our case, my mechanic uncle disabled something underneath the car (gear shift lock, I think), pushed it out of the way, pulled the other car out and then pushed the blocking car back in.
Here Uncle Timmy is reactivating the lock.

Apparently it can be very dangerous at times because there are 4 tides a day so water rushes quickly in and out of the sound.
Kayaking with Woody Pinewood at Hefner today, Started at Hobie point, headed north, then up around the bend to the west over to the canal, then north across the lake over to the east ramp, over to the lighthouse, then down south to the powerlines, over to Stars and Stripes park, and back to Hobie Point, then loaded up, headed out, and dinner at On the Border.
Kayaking down the recreational side at the kayak park, sometimes you make it, other times you have problems, but as long as you make it to the bottom in one piece its all good.
Kayaking in the rain and cold weather is a lot more fun as one might think. The lower part of the body stays more or less dry and - more important - is protected from the wind. The rain just runs down from your hat, over the jacket over the sprayskirt and down the side of the boat right down into the water.
In connection with the heat production of your muscles while paddling you stay warm until you get out of the boat. At this moment you almost instantly start freezing and a car with heated seats is very nice after the boat is loaded and fixed to the roof of the car.
This photo was created mostly by chance. There were raindrops on the lens and exposure was too long (1/6s). But I liked the outcome (especially the colours) and so had to post it here.
There used to be a brickyard at Eckley, and there are still a million bricks on the shore. The camera and the paddle in the photo have since been sold to pay my rent and other bills. I won't sell the kayak until I run out of other things to sell.
