A kayak adventure with Brett Crawford, Dave Mitchell and a crew from Austin including Chad, Joel Gabe, Dave and Ben to Valles, Mexico in the state of San Luis Potossi leaving on December 25, 2007 and returning on January 2nd, 2008. We made runs on the Micos, El Salto, Tampaon and Ojos Frio and a side trip to Xilitla (Fort Worth Star-Telegram/Ralph Lauer)

One of the kayaks we passed bobs gently in our wake. This would be a really fun lake to kayak. I enjoyed kayaking Lake Mead when we went in 2013, but something about Lake Powell seems cleaner. Almost pristine. It's an illusion, I know, because this water is still the same soup of agricultural nitrates and phosphates it was when it came out of the state of Colorado, but the illusion works.
Becky Delaney, front, moves out on Steele Creek Park Lake to meet her daughter, Abbey, who was paddling for the first time in her kayak that she received after graduating the 8th. grade and will be attending Sullivan East and making the Golf team. The family is from Bluff City, Tennessee.

SAN MARCOS, Texas -- U.S. Army Sgt. Stephen Evans, a combat medic who is now a Wounded Warrior, navigates through the rapids on the San Marcos River Feb. 18. Evans sustained a critical injury causing lower limb paralysis while serving in Iraq three years ago. He was sent to the Brooks Army Medical Center to begin rehabilitation after his injury and as a part of that rehabilitation began kayaking and competing with Team River Runner across the continent. The Kayaking Symposium is held each spring at Lakeview Park in Lorain, Ohio. Participants can try out and learn to paddle with many experts on hand!
Poor Emily had to deal with this amateur. He was so embarrassing... he kept yelling AHOY to all within earshot. This guy has too much tomfoolery in him to sit in a kayak all day.
