Rule #1: Anybody and Everybody works for the court. Note that everybody includes yourself. For everybody else, you too are a associate of the court.
Rule #2: It is recommended to reduce communicating about the trial to a minimum, as you'll most likely only make things worse for yourself. If you don't however, the court will make things worse for you.
Rule #3: This is especially true in regards to uttering complaints and disapproval of the trial. Praise it though, and you shall find its proceedings going their way in much less tumultuous ways.
Rule #4: The court always works with the utmost diligence. There are no accidents, and there are no mistakes, just as there is no delaying, sabotaging or accelerating the process.
Rule #6: Some rules remain undisclosed. You'll learn them soon enough. The court works strictly on a need-to-know basis.
Rule #7: Everybody works for the court, but not everybody works at the court; not everybody is a judge. Everybody will be a judge one day, however - this cannot be avoided. Judges may communicate directly among their own, as can anybody who has not been elected a judge yet. Correspondence between judges and non-judges requires mutual agreement and preparation, however.
Rule #8: No judge can be arrested and trialed. Judges can however be demoted from their position or resign by their own volition. In either case an arrest with a succeeding trial must follow automatically.
Rule #9: Any items in your custody that are related to an ongoing trial, remain property of the court.
Rule #11: Acquittal, both true and feigned, will automatically lead to a promotion to the position of judge.
Sorta kinda like that.
I immediately apologize for these dirty negatives that became even more useless with a cheap negative scanner! Maybe I'll try getting them scanned professionally at some point.
Probably my favorite Milwaukee band in the 80's was Kafka. They seemed to be the only band trying to capture (what was THEN a) unique sound of Simple Minds and U2. Their music was great to dance to. If I had musical talent, they were the band I would've wanted to be in. Cool guys all around.

A dear friend and I created inside this curious room... from scratch after being completely inspired by the puppetry and instruction of Michael Sommers of Open Eye Figure Theatre. Call it a first stab at trying to integrate movement-based theatre, poetic language, and puppetry into a cohesive whole. Although I wouldn't go so far as to say it was entirely successful, it did have its moments. It was staged at the Franklin Art Works in Minneapolis in 2004 thanks to Crisis Point: Theatre of Danger and Opportunity, a student-run theatre at the University of Minnesota.

Now, after a few months, with “Xanadu” – their debut – almost out and “Shere Khan” – the single – pumping on your stereos (if it isn’t, then it should), I’m happy to show the results of this adventure.
