So tonight we are up on the Pyrmont Bridge looking south along 'The Promenade' towards the W Hotel.

It's Cockle Bay Wharf and the Darling Harbour Promenade.

Zoom in to see all the buildings, boats & lights, lol.

And so to match the lively mood of Darling Harbour, here is the very amazing Mötley Crüe with their upbeat song: 'Kickstart My Heart':

My trek started this morning with driving the car to Castle Towers, finding a car space on the rooftop of this mega shopping mall, grabbing a coffee at the food court, and then taking the Metro to Chatswood, the T1 'Hard Rail' to Milson's Point, and then the ferry across the harbour to King Street Wharf at Barangaroo (Darling Harbour).

Oh - and I got some sushi at 'The Butchers Block' cafe at Barangaroo (beneath the Crown Casino Tower).

The winter got kickstarted with a weekend-long snowfall and 49.6 cm of snow in my garden! And yesterday the sun showed itself again! What better on a Monday morning than to get up early, get outside in the cold on your snowshoes and watching the sun rise in the distance?

I had to get used to the cold though, -12 C and quite windy (hence the nice shapes in the snow) made my fingers freeze... But the colors were amazing this morning and I was lucky to capture the two clouds I saw coming. With the wind they were only in my frame a short time ;-)

The local skicenter already opens on Friday... May the winter be long, cold and white!

Venice (Italian: Venezia [veˈnɛttsja] ( listen), Venetian: Venesia) is a city in northern Italy known both for tourism and for industry, and is the capital of the region Veneto, with a population of about 272,000 (census estimate 1 January 2004). Together with Padua, the city is included in the Padua-Venice Metropolitan Area (population 1,600,000).

The name is derived from the ancient tribe of Veneti that inhabited the region in Roman times.[1][2] The city historically was the capital of an independent city-state. Venice has been known as the "La Dominante", "Serenissima", "Queen of the Adriatic", "City of Water", "City of Masks", "City of Bridges", "The Floating City", and "City of Canals". Luigi Barzini, writing in The New York Times, described it as "undoubtedly the most beautiful city built by man".[3] Venice has also been described by the Times Online as being one of Europe's most romantic cities.[4]

The city stretches across 117 small islands in the marshy Venetian Lagoon along the Adriatic Sea in northeast Italy. The saltwater lagoon stretches along the shoreline between the mouths of the Po (south) and the Piave (north) Rivers. The population estimate of 272,000 inhabitants includes the population of the whole Comune of Venezia; around 60,000[5] in the historic city of Venice (Centro storico); 176,000 in Terraferma (the Mainland), mostly in the large frazioni of Mestre and Marghera; and 31,000 live on other islands in the lagoon.

The Republic of Venice was a major maritime power during the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and a staging area for the Crusades and the Battle of Lepanto, as well as a very important center of commerce (especially silk, grain and spice trade) and art in the 13th century up to the end of the 17th century. This made Venice a wealthy city throughout most of its history.[6] It is also known for its several important artistic movements, especially the Renaissance period. Venice has played an important role in the history of symphonic and operatic music, and it is the birthplace of Antonio Vivaldi.

Our Daily Challenge 20-26 February :Coffee.

First things first

I know he's a fig made from recycled parts, but he looks awesome nontheless.

It’s ramp season baby!

When I seen this Red Laser Kickstart figure I knew I had to track down a tech deck bike for him. The figure is awesome nice paint aps and quality, and the perfect fill in for a green shirt Snake Eyes. I highly recommend.

Get the blood flowing ALREADY! My energy level has been so low these days and all the coffee in the world doesn’t seem to help. I’ve been soooo busy with work not only teaching but my trying to finish painting a 40ft set for our school musical, and staying on top of life at home. I feel like I just can’t get caught up with anything these days… JUGGLE JUGGLE JUGGLE I’m just counting down the days until spring break.

Thank god for date night.... The hubby and I are heading out to WILD FIRE! never been.. Heard it's delightful... It's good thing i worked out all week.... ;o)

In case anyone missed the news, Guy "V&A Steamworks" Himber recently announced a new Kickstarter campaign to follow up his recently-successful Cows vs Pigs project: Skulls

I had the chance to see the prototypes for the various skull designs at BrickCon, and they're all very well done and would definitely be useful to have for figs or work into builds.

Also awesome: the custom-printed BrickArms skull crate. The puffy printing really gives the skulls the vibe of a classic old school Trapper Keeper
