Kai Choi Pong was born on Friday, April 17th at 8:44am after 12 hours of labor. He weighed 7lbs. 15oz. and was 21 inches long.
He was born at French Hospital, in San Luis Obispo, CA which has the most awesome staff ever!
'Kai Moana' is Maori for seafood - this mirror started with the paua tiles in the lower right hand, and the spirula shell set in resin in the top left.
It was intended for my first mosaic exhibition, but a couple bought it as we were hanging the mosaics, and it now lives somewhere in British Columbia, from memory!
