One of the many lava field sinkholes located along the big island highway. Just for reference the sinkhole in this picture is about 3 buses long by 2 buses wide.
Bibi ka Maqbara, in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. It was commissioned by Aurangzeb, the sixth Mughal Emperor, in the memory of his first wife, Dilras Bano Begum, in the late 17th century.
Vas'ka likes to wear toys in his teeth, like a dog. A toy can be any object that he likes :-)

I finally returned to my spiritual home for night photography, Joshua Tree National Park. I had not photographed nightscapes in the main part of the Park at night for at least two years. Instead, I had been focusing on photographing abandoned buildings and vehicles and more for my photography books. But not tonight. It was a beautiful March night lit with a half moon. I illuminated the scene with warm white light from a handheld ProtoMachines LED2 light painting device during the exposure. I've named this after one of the spiritual places in "Star Trek" lore due to its otherworldly nature as well as the significance of JTNP for me and my night photography explorations. Thanks!

The last photos from my short visit to Prague in August 2020 before I continue with Leipzig next week.
This is my first KA code. I saw a few more on trucks in the meantime, but none on a car. It's amazing that these K(and H and I) codes have been issued since 2015, but are still so rarely seen outside Ukraine. It seems that I hardly ever cross the paths of Ukrainian business people or tourists with their new cars, but almost exclusively those of workers with their older cars. Let's see when the next "new" code shows itself to me....
Vas'ka likes to sit in the entrance of the front garden and to watch the neighbours. He allows some neighbours to stroke him, but only to women and girls.

I believe this to be the oldest local example of what has become quite a rare car; round here at least.
It's only done 34,000 miles but it's had a growing number of rust fails and advisories; in fact its MOT has expired since I took the photo.
It belongs to an elderly chap.
In remarkable condition. But despite only 23k on the clock, it still required the attention of a welding torch for a MOT pass in 2018, which really shows how rust prone these excellent little cars can be unfortunately.
Hier auf S/W - In Farbe bringe ich den Rasen zwar in den richtigen Farbton, für die Jahreszeit aber ist die Intensität einfach zu hoch. Man kann es erahnen in dem man Abstufung von der Rasenfläche bei den Wärterhäuschen mit den Rechtecken auf der Vorfläche vergleicht.
Vielleicht liegt es am Nitrophosca-Dünger...
Im Hintergrund die Ausläufer des Schwarzwaldes. Ansonsten wird in Karlsruhe gebaut...
