This happy picture was preceded by a sad story: at four months old, Otis was found on the street of Tacoma, starving, with multiple wounds, and showing signs of strangulation; he was nearly dead. The strangulation caused brain damage. As a result, Otis doesn't have the sensation of "thirst." He has to be given water every day. Despite all that's happened to him, Otis has more joy in him than any dog I've ever known.

So, Clonmacnoise is amazing. It's one of the oldest/largest collection of old high crosses and Celtic crosses all together. The north and south high crosses were specifically brought inside for preservation. Both crosses have designs that depict Biblical stories (especially the North cross) along with elements of Pagan belief. Like I said, it's amazing!

Vintage film camera picture of Black Cat wearing his neck warmer. He
was a feral living in the crawl space of an old Queen Anne House I
rented 16 years ago. He became my traveling companion and currently resides with me in Port Angeles.

A busy friend joined me this morning for coffee and beautiful weather. I only object when one wants me to anchor the web. He still was distracting, playing in the sunlight.
