Jumping Spider Macro, shot @ 3:1 life size.

This is a mosaic of the moment I missed of Kita actually in mid-air. He waited a long time on the edge 'preparing' for this leap, moving a little bit this way and a little bit that on the edge. It was a very very long leap he was planning, to land next to where Taj was sleeping. I knew the photo I wanted - the one of him flying in mid-air. I thought I was ready. But I got the push off instant and Kita's landing - and - I hope he does it again!

Wishing you a nice weekend of warm adventures and nice landings.

Koh phangan, Thailand. It is an island in the gulf of thalland. the rock has the name of a king of thailand carved into the face of the rock

Possibly a male Beata as suggested by Chad Heins on bugguide. Found at Padre Island Beach. Kleberg County, Texas, USA.

Very pretty. Originally found on car after I parked on beach. Transfered to a drift log.

Unfortunately was not able to get very good shots of it. Pretty windy that day and did not want to get sand in the camera. Also, shortly after I transfered this cutie to a drift log it pounced on another spider and I did not want to disturb its meal.

Single exposure, uncropped, handheld, in situ. Canon MT-24EX flash unit, Ian McConnachie diffuser.

Really hot sunny day having fun jumping off the pier at balmaha.

strobist-ism: 540ez into 28" softbox infront of model. A 540ez bare on each side and slightly behind model pointed back at him about a stop higher than key light.

I was taking photos of the birds when a splash to my right drew my eye, I fired off a quick succession of shots and then played them back to see what I had seen... It was a lovely pre-spring day and even the fish wanted to get out in the sunshine.
