A macro of a jumping spider....(no crop)
no macro lens....just Coupled the 55-250mm lens and reversed the 50mm prime lens on it to get a 6x magnification...the ration of this magnification is 6:1....
It's Ziggy's 3rd birthday today (the retriever not the flying Labrador) Taken on my diana mini over the country park with 35mm film.
This was supposed to be my entry for the first Flickristi competition but couldn't participate at the time. Got the shot last week and pretty happy with the end result, especially considering the low lighting, less than ideal lens for the job and crappy ISO performance... A good carpenter doesn't blame his tools, I know, I know... =)
Today was very mild but it was windy up on Old Winchester Hill.
I can't believe its December 23rd already- I know everyone always says how the year has flown by but surely this one has gone quicker than the last few!!
I have the trademark jump-shot wet knee!
So thankful that I was able to jump this morning. I am on the top of the mountain for my usual jog in the morning and love to capture the sunrise today.
We came home to Denver for a week. It was worth the 15 hours of driving in one day so Suki could make it to a drop-in agility class with real equipment!

Mountain biking! There should be a person (like, say... my boyfriend... who went off this and several other jumps of which a photograph could not properly depict the height). But, this is an outtake. I've been wanting to try real mountain biking since I was a kid, I've always loved speed and two wheels. Finally got a bike, just starting to get comfortable riding it. Good times ahead!
