Today was the end of a long weekend in Australia. We're part of the Commonwealth and celebrate the Queen's Birthday with a long weekend every time this year. Not sure why, I think Queen Elizabeth's birthday is in April... but what the hell. So here's wishing all the queens out there a happy birthday today.
Any way, the International Plastic Modeller's Association (IPMS) - Australian Chapter has their annual get together on the Queen's Birthday weekend. They got together to display members' models and compete. It was my first time there and I was completely stunned by the gazillions of entries. This one of Judge Dedd was one of them. I'll post more throughout the week to come.
Oh, Strobist info, well nothing special. One 580EXII off camera but tethered with a cable. ISO 200 1/60th at f4. I love the bokeh off the 100mm L 2.8!

Worked up the boots a bit - the leather bits look a bit plain but the toe-caps and sheath look cool I think.

Made a cap for the bottom of the baton from more K&S tube, and glued the top bits together. Both have endcaps of Miliput "lathed" with a wet gloved finger.
