Custom Judge Dredd Minifig, all accessories were hand made, Helmet is a custom I made using the base of a Brick Forge Hoplite Helmet and built on from that.
This is of course based on the comic version of Dredd, not that ridiculous movie version staring Sylvester Stallone
after I drew this I time traveled back to 1987 and gave this to myself -
I wasn't alowed to buy 2000AD because it was too violent so naturally I coveted it most of all.

More photobashing fun with my 1/6 scale Dredd. Artwork by Yin Zhen Chu on Artstation.
I usually seem to over-Photoshop these things. Start with a poor photo and try to 'shop my way out. Much better to start with a decent picture which requires very little processing.

Outside the gargantuan perimeter wall of Mega City One, Judge Dredd looks out into the vast stretches of the desolate landscape known as the "Cursed Earth." Armed with his Lawgiver handgun and sheathed in his Radcloak, Dredd prepares himself for the bandits and mutants that scour the sun-bleached wastes that lie beyond the relative safety of the megacities. The path to saving what little remains of civilization is wrought with terrors beyond the comprehension of many, but Dredd's fealty to his life as a Street Judge reaffirms his aspiration to "bring the Law to the lawless."
In a world where most comic book characters are owned by massive film and television corporations, I always find it both surprising and endearing that the continuing publication of the science-fiction comic magazine "2000 A.D." - including "Judge Dredd" and "Rogue Trooper" - are owned by a video game developer, that being Rebellion Developments. The same company that made the "Sniper Elite" series and several "Alien versus Predator" video games have since turned out to be a primary driver for the enduring legacy of the fantastical, surreal, grim, comedic, and engaging stories told in the "Judge Dredd" comics. If nothing else, Rebellion gets all the street credit in the world from me since they were able to get the "Judge Dredd" story with the McDonald's vs. Burger King gang war out of copyright limbo and available for everyone to read.

I wrapped her waist in clingfim and heated the belt to get it to flex easily.
I thought I got the fit better earlier on - I heat-formed the belt around her to get it to sit tighter - but that seems to have faded so the tops of the pouches feel a bit loose. Oh well.
You can see the newly-edged zip here, and the contrast between the belt (detailed and shaded) vs the other green bits which just have airbrush shading.

I primed the bodysuit black and cut it back a bit with a Wave soft sanding stick. Then the metal bits got a couple of coats of decanted Tamiya gloss black lacquer which I polished up a little.
The metal is mostly Alclad Polished Brass with highlights of Pale Burnt Metal and some Sepia sprayed from below.
I masked off the suit to paint the eagle pauldron, once it's fully cured I need to carefully mask the pauldron to finish painting the suit. This seems a bit daft, but it allowed me to do the polishing early.
