“I am the law!“ - LEGO Judge Dredd
No one sneers while delivering swift justice quite like Sly Stallone - especially if he’s holding his multi-ammo, DNA imprinted, Lawgiver pistol.
Here’s a mini version of that weapon. The separate red lights down the length of the gun were a challenge at such a small scale so I chose to represent them with a single red brick - it gets the idea across. Don’t judge me :)
21 pieces.

"America is an irradiated wasteland. Within it lies a city. Outside the boundary walls, a desert. A cursed earth."

Based on the 2012 Dredd movie design.
This one has been sitting around for a while.
Helmet was hand sculpted and I finally got around to making the mold for it this week. Final helmet is resin cast and hand painted.
karl urban version of the judge dredd. i didnt really have any ideas for the legs so i just made the basic boot and knee cap design. btw i do hope that they make a sequel to the movie.

Belladonna is a hardcore fantasy epic with sexy ladies and epic battles!

SPOOKHOUSE # 2
Spooky fun for kids and adults! With stories by Eric Powell, Steve Mannion, Kyle Hotz, and Stephanie Gladden!
Don't mess with a judge. This is 3 exposures with -1+ stops bracketing, then Photomatix for HDR and tonemapping, and finally Photoshop for the finishing touches.
"We're going to war!"
Say what you will about the 1995 Judge Dredd film, but at least it gave us this guy. The ABC (Atomic, Bacterial and Chemical) Warrior is a veteran robot of a long forgotten war. The production team did a stunning job bringing him to life. Lego version, designed and built by yours truly.
Quite an abundance of reading material today....

I've always been a fan of neon so I jumped at the chance last year to visit the God's Own Junkyard pop-up 'Electric City' exhibition in the Victorian Leadenhall Market. Several of the empty units had been transfomed into displays featuring their neon designs, some of which had featured in films like 'Eyes Wide Shut' and 'Judge Dredd'.
I recently read on IMDB that several Judge Dredd production crew members were name-checked in the set design of Mega City 1. These included Bill Ying Tong's (Jon Billington, Junior Draughtsperson) and the Bracey Massage Service (Chris Bracey, Neon work)". Source : imdb.com/title/tt0113492/trivia
By the way, we're holding our next London Flickr Group Photowalk on Sunday 20th February if you're interested in coming along. Click here for more details : www.flickr.com/groups/londonflickrgroup/discuss/721577198...
From the Leadenhall Market website, "Electric City is part of an exciting programme of events and activities to celebrate the full reopening of Leadenhall Market’s 35 boutique retailers, bars, restaurants and cafes after restrictions on indoor dining lift in line with step three of the government’s lockdown roadmap on no sooner than May 17th.
While Gods Own Junkyard’s Walthamstow paradise and Rolling Scones Cafe will continue to host their entire archive of neon and vintage signs, Electric City will allow them to bring out some of the key pieces to chart their own place within movie history.
Although the movie signs are not for sale, a walk-in installation and information hub will be open to the public on Wednesdays to Saturdays, with selected pieces available to purchase online via a Shopify site with item codes for virtual buyers. Further exciting events including guided tours and talks will also be announced in June and July, once government restrictions are fully relaxed from no sooner than 21st June.
Since founder and neon artist Chris Bracey passed away in 2014, Gods Own Junkyard has been in the care of his wife Linda and sons Mathew and Marcus, all neon makers and designers. They are delighted that the Leadenhall Market project has given them an opportunity to spotlight some of these iconic signs as a way of reflecting on their own history, in addition to their much-discussed Soho nostalgia."

Custom Judge Dredd Minifig, all accessories were hand made, Helmet is a custom I made using the base of a Brick Forge Hoplite Helmet and built on from that.
This is of course based on the comic version of Dredd, not that ridiculous movie version staring Sylvester Stallone
