Moments after news broke about Steve Jobs' death, a rainbow popped out of the Pixar campus (taken with my iPhone 4). Rest in peace, Steve, and thank you.

Today I started my new job.
I shall be working from home for the foreseeable, which will take a bit of getting used to, and I'll likely have to set an alarm to wake me up each morning (having got rather used to waking up when I chose) but after such a horribly stressful last six months those are things I'm happy to accept.
Plus, it means I have an excuse to make an effort each day and to wear my heels (even if no-one appreciates it over Skype / Teams calls).
But in all seriousness, I am still SO proud of what I have been able to achieve. I just need to ensure that I work hard and prove to them that I'm invaluable.

"Underneath this smile Lies everything
All my hopes, anger, pride and shame
Make myself a pact, not to shut doors on the past
Just for today,... I am free
I will not lose my faith
It's an inside job today
I know this one thing well,...
I used to try and kill love, it was the highest sin
Breathing insecurity out and in
Searching hope, I'm shown the way to run straight
Pursuing the greater way for all,.. human light.
How I choose to feel,... is how I am.
How I choose to feel,... is how I am.
I will not lose my faith
It's an inside job today
Holding on, the light of the night
On my knees to rise and fix my broken soul
Again.
Let me run into the rain
To be a human light again
Let me run into the rain
To shine a human light today
Life comes from within your heart and desire
Life comes from within my heart and desire
Life comes from within you heart and desire"
MC 2009 is seen leading 4 loads of C&D past Bay as they approach Middleboro. Once they got to Middleboro they would set off the 4 loads at the north end of Alden Siding then pick up MBTA 1057 for the trip back to Rochester.
At an early stage on Day 2 we needed to take on fuel which was done south of Dunkirk - and it exposed a weakness in the itinerary as regards the overall length of day. It would have been wishful thinking back then (and probably still would be today in most locations) to have a basic type of motorway petrol station equipped with multiple `fast fill` diesel pumps. It soon became obvious that with just two buses fueling simultaneously, it was going to take a long time to do all ten. Almost an hour.
Each bus spent significantly longer doing nothing compared to the time spent actually on the pump. There was no realistic way around this and we had to assume that our finish time each day would become extended through fuel stops alone, never mind unexpected mechanical issues.
It's been a long while since I've jumped in on a themed photo week, so I'm kicking off a homage to one of my all-time favorite figures with "Snow Job Week!"
This is my childhood Snow Job that I bought in 1983, and while I've kept him in near mint condition he's yellowed all over the place despite being stored in a vintage GI Joe "collectors" case. Even his skis are different shades of yellow?! Crazy.
