Each interview panel member should keep a score sheet. This will be used to record the candidate responses to each question. Scoring is based on a formula established by the entire panel. Each scoring sheet is kept in a documentation file which holds everything pertaining to the particular job posting.
Yep, I've been getting the old job search manual out again ("How to find a Job you'll Love"), after much looking around for new places and seeing how I can find somewhere that will not contain the same problems as my current job. After some boss chat, he asked to hear my reasons for wanting to leave which was brilliant as it's really made me think about why. When you look for a job, you can get really caught in just that, and forget about the one you're actually in. And wouldn't it be easier to just be happy in job A, rather than having to look for and start again at job B?
So yes, it's been list time for me. Good going really. Makes you think about what you've got and what you're good at. Also confusing. I just can't tell what the future is going to be like at the place where I work, and how much optimism I can give it without just becoming careless. I seem to be very much defined by my work.

bit.ly/1hPpbRsDuring my school years I remember being an easy target because I was picked on a lot by the other kids. It got harder and harder for me to go to school, but I finally finished high school in 2007. I had no future plans and remained home with my family for the next three years. I spent most of that time on the computer playing games.
My mom and I talked and decided it was time to call and get some professional help. I got involved with Community Mental Health and they helped me create a personal plan to learn better social skills, think about my future plans and to make money.
When I came to Goodwill Industries of St. Clair County my life started to get better. I felt more comfortable and began making friends and receiving a steady paycheck. I had good supervisors and great co-workers that helped me come out of my shell. I learned janitorial duties and how to assemble parts in a production workshop
Goodwill taught me how important it is to be on time, how to follow a schedule, how to get along with others and to improve my communication skills.
I was honored when my co-workers elected me to represent them in our monthly client delegate meetings. This was an opportunity to address everyday work concerns with Goodwill board members and staff. I felt like I was an important part here at Goodwill.
As my self-esteem increased, my counselor suggested Goodwill place me in a short-term work trial at a local grocery store to see if I was ready to work in the community. I was so happy that it went well.
Not long after, I was able to find work at a local grocery store in my community. I was hired part-time as a courtesy clerk; my duties are bagging groceries, back stocking and getting grocery carts. Presently I feel my life is so much fuller. I have higher self-esteem and now enjoy meeting new people.
At my job I receive a weekly paycheck. I have opened my own bank account, and am learning to budget my money. In my free time, I enjoy reading and shopping.
Because of Goodwill, I now feel confident about making future plans that I never dreamed of. I plan to get my driver’s license, go to college and study computers, and to live on my own.

Currently in production, this short-form reality-style show offers young adults within the New Jersey community an opportunity to compete for desirable and lucrative entry-level positions in five industry sectors. This brainchild of Social Cinema will give contestants and viewers alike an inside look at what—and who—companies are looking for when hiring. “You’re Hired!” will provide visibility, as well as a talented applicant pool, for its ten local business sponsors.
I had a job interview today, managed to take a snapshot of the library for which I applied, but it looked too much like a "creeper shot" so I decided to upload this instead (story of why later).
For a while I've been thinking of how much job searching/interviewing correlates to dating. I mean, when employers ask if you have been fired, they might as well ask if you have cheated on your ex. There's that plane of uncertainty when going into an interview and asking questions as if you already got the job. You are assuming the relationship will get serious (you get hired) and are bold enough to ask questions like, what will my schedule be like, and what will be the size of my work area, in squared feet. You go into an interview with this romanticized version of what working there could be like (correlates to those marriage fantasies while dating??) only to find a few months later you are not so compatible. LOL
Anyway, I need to expand and craft that metaphor better. Right now, I just feel like eating somethig a little bit healthier than Jack in the Box and work out my abs. No lies.
I took this picture because the guy in the drive thru upgraded my drink from small to medium. "I only did that cause you're cute," he said. I blushed and thanked him. lol I forgot my water bottle at home today with all the driving and interviewing, so I appreciated his strawberry flavored flirting.
