Inevitable Question 8c:

Tell us something about your resume?

In short: My resume is just UNBEARABLE!!!

Inevitable Question 9B:

What are your weaknesses?

I guess I might have to work on my status as a water cooler wallflower!?!

Version made in 2011 of a quick sketch from 1984. The old sketch I show here too. I changed it. Experimenting.

In Holland around 1980 there was a surplus of young people searching for the few available jobs. Managers had an ample choice. It was a period of economical crisis. For instance school managers got hundreds of letters when there was a school job available. Their attitude towards all the new candidates was not always so inspiring.

I want to add: there also exist school managers with a different mentality. I know. And fine, interested educators.

The background of this drawing I made darker during the scan procedure. I like the result if seen as a large picture. The dark grey stands for the mood of these people in a way.

Ida Gerhardt

Uit: Sonnetten van een leraar, geschreven in 1933, 1934, 1935

WERKLOOSHEID

Mijn kleine zusje ziet me nauwelijks aan.

Part of my illustrated how-tos for Hello Giggles.

It seems that I've been more busy no that I have no job, then when I've had one. This morning I've had a fight over the phone with a woman who was thinking that when she said I've had to come to her agency I've put everthing down and come.... No way. She wanted to know what else I was doing since I didn't have a job or so. I've had other appointments. She was really not nice. So I called my workcoach and explained what happened and I could come over to tell the whole story...... He told me that I must ignore her. Thank god.

My other jobinterview went good also. Only problem was that is was not the work I used to do and that they are working on shifts. I just want a nice dayjob like I used to have........

I went for a relaxing walk with my girls.... and now hanging on the sofa with a glass of good wine....

texture thanks to darkwood
