Embraer EMB-135 Legacy business jet seen arriving here at JFK, New York, USA. Sept 2007. Certainly a relief to see this one rather than the endless regional carriers using this type: American Eagle, Continental Express, etc. Copyright Tom Turner.
As promised, still pictures. I'm particularly pleased with the canopy arrangement, but I can't help but think that using the 6-wide piece has forced me to make the entire front end a little chunkier than I'd have otherwise liked. Still, pleased with it.
Speaking of the front, it's mounted at an angle such that the long edge of the 2x3 wedge lines up with body, which was fun to do once I'd figured it out. Filling in the gaps, especially on the underside of the build, was a little trickier, but I'm satisfied with the end result.
I'm now caught up with my photography backlog, so next plan is to build some more things. I'll get on with that...

Beechcraft King Air C90GTi-2 turbo-prop - available for private air charters.
JPL is out of this world. We took a 2-1/2 hour tour and made several stops including the assembly clean room where a bunch of engineers and technicians were working on the Soil Moisture Active Passive Satellite: www.jpl.nasa.gov/missions/soil-moisture-active-passive-smap/
We stopped at the flight control room observation deck and could see the big displays showing communication and command of twelve deep space probes including Voyager 1 (launched in 1977) that they signal and receive a signal from every two days. It takes three days for the signals to make the round trip and they showed us Voyager’s position in interstellar space with a realistic view of the solar system from Voyagers current location (second from right upper screen). Can you say, "Curiosity Mission Control" (lower center)? Made me feel very small…
A difficult photo to make given low light, handheld and I had to push my lens up against the glass window in order to reduce reflections.
The Breitling Jet Team is Europe's largest civilian aerobatic display team and the only civilian formation team in the world to fly jet-engined aircraft. The team, based in Dijon, France, was founded in 2003, although its roots go back to 1982. The team currently fly seven Aero L-39 Albatros jets and perform at around 50 shows per year.
