Although not determined by anyone using scientific methods, to the best of my knowledge this is Java moss (Taxiphyllum barbieri) developing sporophytes in my aquarium. A remarkably rare occurance as far as I know.

JAVA SEA (June 4, 2012) - U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Enforcement Specialist 3rd Class Tony Fuerst assigned to the national security cutter USCGC Waesch (WMSL 751) embarks the guided-missile frigate USS Vandergrift (FFG 48) to facilitate training during a visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) training exercise with the Indonesian Navy. Vandergrift is underway participating in the at-sea phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2012 Indonesia. CARAT 2012 is a nine-country, bilateral exercise between the United States and Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, and Timor Leste and is designed to enhance maritime security skills and operational cohesiveness among participating forces. JAVA SEA (May 25, 2013) Sailors assigned to Targets detachment at Fleet Activities Okinawa perform pre-launch checks on a BQM-74 target drone on the flight deck of the forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46) during a missile exercise as a part of exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2013. More than 1,000 Sailors and Marines are participating in CARAT Indonesia 2013. U.S. Navy ships participating in the exercise include the USNS Safeguard (T-ARS 50) with embarked Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 1, amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46), and the guided-missile destroyer USS Momsen (DDG 92).
