Awesome minifigures from the Aquaman movie set! I just wish Mera had a darker green suit and redder hair. Her design is awesome though, I love it!

It has been a while since I posted my stuff on Jason Momoa. I am sure many people know by now he will be one of the huge stars in Justice League in 2017 and Aquaman in 2018.
Here is the link to a very beautiful short film about Jason and his Ohana/Family which Jason did together with his very talented friend Brian Andrew Mendoza "Canvas of My Life".
Watch it and be moved! /Andrea
Quote from Carhart and Handmade Films:
"Long before Hollywood got ahold of Jason Momoa and turned him into a savage warlord and our latest superhero, he was just a kid who grew up the son of an artist from a family of builders and hunters from a small town in Iowa. Raised by a strong single mother, he craved everything his mom opened his eyes to, from art to music to rock climbing and skateboarding. All of this left a deep sense of adventure in his blood.
This is the story of a man hell-bent on remaining that kid - no matter how big he gets or where the world takes him. Because family, “My Ohana” as Jason likes to say, is all that matters to him."
Jason's handler didn't want shots taken of Jason, but I managed to get a few. In retrospect, it was a bit silly. On the last day nobody complained when we were shooting from a distance and the handler was nowhere to be seen. I would have loved to have gotten a closer shot with him, but at $20 a pop, it wasn't in the budget.

I hope you guys won't mind a little of my art thrown in the mix here.
I'm a little (read: a lot) obsessed with Jason Momoa lately. So I drew him as Aquaman for fun in between work stuff. (I mostly work in marker on 3.5x2.5" trading card-sized stock the past few years.)
it was really cool to see jason momoa because just days earlier, he was attacked and required surgery. despite that, he still attended the convention and was in very good spirits.

Meeting this handsome and talented Hollywood star was not easy. My heart was racing and my hands were trembling. Really, I am not used to meet film stars (first time) like this so no wonder I felt weak. I had hundreds of questions to ask Jason Momoa but no chance at all, with all the huge crowds and the long standing in line for an autograph.
I admire Jason's acting as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, the avenger Conan, and also him playing Ronon in Stargate Atlantis. These are his latest works.
I wanted to tell him at the autograph table (but couldn't) that I love best his short film "Notes from the Wall", a silent film, with beautiful piano music, which he also directs. He shines the best there, the most touching short film I have seen.
I know he will be in other Hollywood productions playing Keegan in "Bullet to the head" but what I look forward to most is his own film directing the "Road to Paloma". Since it is an art film and will not be distributed all over the world but, according to Jason's own words, to be shown at Sundance Film Festival and hopefully in the cinemas.
If I had the chance to convey a message to Jason I would say: Would love to take some beautiful photos of you and most importantly; keep up this good work you have shown so far, looking forward to more of your own directed excellent films which are the best I think. Cheers Jason, it was an honor to meet you!
