After lots of cold foggy days the sun came out today.
This is straight from my phone.

Frosted Window Pane...
The other night at around four in the morning. I woke up and as I usually do I looked out the window, it was covered in a thick frost. The light of the moon illuminated it so softly it glistened like silver against the black sky.

Bonkers over twenty years ago as a young adult in January of 2001 in California. I completely forgot about this picture until an automated program showed it to me.

On a grey January morning East Midlands Railways nine car Meridian (222101+222022) heads north from Market Harborough working 1F15, 09:02 St Pancras - Sheffield, 8th January 2020.
A scene that has changed somewhat from when I last stood here just over forty years ago with the now common substantial increase in lineside vegetation. (see first comment)
This kid has so many expressions, but his impish grin is one of my favorites. This has been the scene for so much of this week - working on his floor routine (this week he figured out how to army crawl and sit up on his own from his belly!), feeling his two brand new teeth with his tongue all. day. long.

As a mild weather system moved through, the east winds made for some decent waves along the Lake Ontario shore from the skyway bridge to Grimsby. This is at Confederation Park in East Hamilton.
I knew an overnight dense fog advisory by the National Weather Service would but an end to the long stretch of mundane photography conditions we've experienced for a month. A view of the main trail in the La Crosse Blufflands land preserve.
