As you all probably know I have been selling a lot of my collection to raise money for dental bills.
I had 5 Littlefee bodies but lots of faceplates that shared them but decided to sell all the spare faceplates and have just 5 full dolls.
I took a bit of a gamble with Jake because his face had not arrived yet but I was so sure I would love him that I sold all my other spare faceplates and kept the 5th body for him.
Well the gamble paid off as I absolutely adore him! He is perfect for my little family =)
My good friend Jake had some bad luck the other night when he was side swiped on the highway by a hit and run late at night. He turned bad luck into a unique new look with the help of his girlfriend Mckenzie on the fender!

Good bye Jakes. We meet one of the owners, Sally Henzell, widow of Perry Henzell who wrote and directed The Harder They Come. Sally was the art director on the film.
Jake kept moving his chair, so more golden light but also some hot spots on his face and neck. This one also had a bit of photoshop!!!
Since a fair number of my contacts have and like cats, I thought it was time to take a few pics of mine. Jake was a friend's cat who I agreed to look after for 6 months last year, but who ended up staying with me permanently.

The "Blues Brothers" movie makers wanted to film in Rock Island. If you listen to the original album, RI is mentioned. In fact, one local found John Belushi's wallet with license. They had been here scouting locations. More of the story in the other images.

You see a few signs like this in USA now, where the word Jake has been replaced by engine, this is due to Jacobs a major manufacturer of engine brakes, being unhappy with the discrimination.

Although Jake brake properly refers to the Jacobs brand of engine brakes, the term has become a genericized trademark and is often used to refer to engine brakes or compression release engine brakes in general, especially on large vehicles or heavy equipment.
There's nothing wrong with this beagle! He looks a bit heavy in this photo. He's about 6 years old.
