Top side. I watched the jaegers for about 2 hours on and off chasing mostly Bonaparte's Gulls who were actively feeding off the water in a rather tight flock.
Go see "Pacific Rim". It's not a work or art, or the best story ever written, or Academy Award material. But it's the best damn live-action giant robot movie you're ever going to see. I understand now why everyone's amazed that Hollywood let Guillermo del Toro get away with making this. It's like your favorite scifi B-movie with a mega budget.
For this photo, I subbed an Iron Man Drone (Navy type) for a Jaeger monster-killer mecha. I guess if I run into any "Pacific Rim" toys, I'll have to grab one or two. Legos (K-nex actually) filled in for skyscrapers. I'm surprised I didn't have a photo of the Denver skyline or something to use as a backdrop.

Had a fantastic session with this pair of Long-tailed Jaegers in Barrow. Amazing to see them in flight so close
A long-tailed jaeger mural by Jesus Medina on St. Nicholas Ave. just a couple doors up from the peregrine falcon.
The mural is one of 100 murals in the Audubon Mural Project, which brings attention to birds imperiled by climate change. Most of the murals are in the Hamilton Heights and Washington Heights neighborhoods of upper Manhattan, near where John James Audubon's estate was located.
Finally, at long last it's done. The cockpit to my mighty Jaeger. (Based, of course, on Pacific Rim's Gypsy Danger) Enjoy!
