The Danes looked to the Lego Group to design and construct the massive Jaeger that would be protecting Danish waters. With it's massive spear it ploughs through Kaiju like butter. Oh, and horns!

1907, a bit of an unsharp picture of a group of Jaegers. Most interesting is the massive Hirschfanger sword carried by the NCO in the middle. The stag handle is clearly visible, as is the green-silver NCO knot, unique to Jaegers. This was a type of light infantry, but literally translated as Hunters. Hence, the sword issued to the NCO is suitable, as it translates as a deercatcher. Hirschfangers of all sorts were used by hunters to finish of the game after being shot.
Latest lifer. This juvie Pomarine Jaeger has been hanging around on the beach & feeding in the inlet at Barnegat Light, NJ for about a week now. Missed it when I went earlier in the week so real happy to get it.

The Jaegers were designed because, in spite of everything, using one is cheaper long-term than flinging nukes at a Kaiju until it goes down.

Time to grab a bargain in the furnature discount shop. This is where my friend Vicky was working and it's hard to believe it was as long ago as 2020. All I was waiting for was a cup of tea, fat chance!
Top side. I watched the jaegers for about 2 hours on and off chasing mostly Bonaparte's Gulls who were actively feeding off the water in a rather tight flock.
Go see "Pacific Rim". It's not a work or art, or the best story ever written, or Academy Award material. But it's the best damn live-action giant robot movie you're ever going to see. I understand now why everyone's amazed that Hollywood let Guillermo del Toro get away with making this. It's like your favorite scifi B-movie with a mega budget.
For this photo, I subbed an Iron Man Drone (Navy type) for a Jaeger monster-killer mecha. I guess if I run into any "Pacific Rim" toys, I'll have to grab one or two. Legos (K-nex actually) filled in for skyscrapers. I'm surprised I didn't have a photo of the Denver skyline or something to use as a backdrop.
