Steelhead #6 Justin Johnson made a hard shove of LB defender Gary Gladue knocking him into LB goaltender Brett Jaeger. Jaeger fell into the net backwards and slowly got on his knees. He stayed on his knees for several minutes while LB trainer Myles Hirayama tended to him. The local paper would later say he hurt his wrist (and he was suited up as the backup goalie in the next day's game).
A distant jaeger, presumably Parasitic but in the field recalled Long-tailed like with apparently short bill (with extensive dusky tip), golen nape and white shafts restricted to 2 or 3 primaries. Too distant to be sure.

A juvenile LONG-TAILED JAEGER. One of a few records for Montana, this obliging bird did a few close passes by me, and at one point dived on me, making a couple short raspy barks at me! Great experience with a species I rarely see! 20 Oct, 2013 Freezeout Lake WMA, Choteau, MT
Long-tailed Jaeger - immature
Stercorarius longicaudus
One of the 7 lifers I got on my first pelagic trip, this immature long-tailed jaeger gave us great looks. It took a little while to ID it but looking at Sibley's I'm pretty sure we're right about it.
