Jugada polémica ya de noche, empataban 14 a 14. Discusiones ásperas y sudorosas que, muchas veces terminaban cuando "el dueño de la pelota" se iba con el esférico bajo el brazo.
... I think you all know UB40's iconic interpretation of this Neil Diamond song : ))
Crazy Tuesday - theme of November 30, 2021: Abstract
For "Macro Mondays" group theme of "Blue"
Another late attempt and not what I had first contemplated.
A bit of a challenge to get a range of blues without introducing anything else - at least it looks reasonable on my monitor!
The little blue jug is just 2cm tall and is balanced inside a blue glass drinking mug - all a bit precarious! Lighting is a simple desk lamp and the attempt was handheld!
(Yes, it could be sharper!)
As usual all very simple! KISS

Macro Mondays ……. Theme "Wabi- sabi"
This week's theme a Japanese word is translated as an imperfect aged beauty.
This macro shows the rim and side of the old decorative jug ,I use in my greenhouse. The peeling and cracked glaze still holds it's old rustic appeal in my eyes.
Thanks for your views, faves and comments very much appreciated.

San Juan de Ulúa , Veracruz , Mexico
Bridge of Sighs
The "Bridge of Sighs" is so named because he who crossed it as a prisoner knew that he had little opportunity to cross it again as a free man. On one side are the infamous "Tinajas", the damp dungeons of the Revellín de San José, on the other, the firing wall of the Fort of San Juan de Ulúa.
The jail cells at San Juan de Ulúa were known as "tinajas" (water jugs), probably as a reference to their humidity. This is an example of one of the vaulted rooms used as a prison cell at the fort.
Alstroemeria and Jug, Croome Court, National trust, Worcestershire.
I'm an October child and this was one of my treats in my birthday week. Plus bacon sarnies in the 1940's style RAF canteen followed later by the biggest cream tea ever, the scones were massive..and delicious! Read the info on the link below for more fascinating info on Croome...

Croome Court is a mid 18th century Neo-Palladian mansion surrounded by an extensive landscaped parkland at Croome D'Abitot, near Pershore in south Worcestershire.
The former home of the 6th Earl of Coventry but now owned by the National Trust and work in progress to restore this once grand house to it's former glory. At the moment it's an extremely 'tired' shell but the grounds, church and parkland are wonderful. One of the first landscaping projects of the famous Capability Brown. Brown was hired in 1751 by the 6th Earl of Coventry who had inherited Croome at 28 and wanted the estate and house to be at the cutting edge of taste and design.

Seen in the Islamic department at the V&A, this exquisite jug and its reflection. I think they were creating art like this while we were still living in mud huts.....Not quite, perhaps, but a long long time ago!
Pterostylis recurva is a perennial herb 300-600 mm high. There are five or more leaves, 10-50 mm long x about 10 mm wide, along the stem. There are up to 4 flowers, 30-35 mm long x 25-30 mm wide on the flowering stem. The flowers are white to translucent with green or brown stripes, jug-like in shape and have the lateral sepals recurved or bent. Occurs in a variety of soil types including sand, clay, laterite and gravel.
