The headland on the left is Jubilee Point, a location where I have created many of many night photos and a popular location for my kayaking sessions.

As part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations the Humber Bridge was adorned with a Union flag on the top of each tower. However there wasn’t much wind to make them billow and in any case they weren’t that big to make them stand out, and don’t show on this image. Nonetheless a pleasant sunset which provided a double sun star.

I've been taking time lapses recently after my astrophotography night sessions. This is a. shot from one the other night when at last some storms came our way. I love clouds on the coast, they change so quickly , and there's always something to photograph. Jubilee Street is by Nick Cave and The Band Seeds.

While the composition of this photo isn't the best, I love the way the foam that is washing back down the beach is curving towards the sun. This was on the beach at high tide, when your walking options are severely restricted, but this day it was Jubilee Street, by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

The beacon in our local park was lit as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration - Woodthorpe Park, Nottingham.

The buildings were both started in 1885 with the Jail opening in 1886 and the Court House in 1887. Originally, the Council had decided to open the buildings on the date of Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee which was June 22, 1887. It was suggested to allow $500.00 to pay for the festivities. However, the money was returned to a general fund as it was never spent because the buildings were opened instead on May 9, at the beginning of the spring assizes

George F. Durand was born in 1850 to Scottish parents. His artistic ability encouraged his father to enroll him in Peel’s Art School, London, where after two years of study, specializing in marble sculpturing, Durand began his studies in architecture in apprenticeship with London architect, William Robinson. After completing his apprenticeship, Durand moved to the United States, where he helped with the designs of the New York State Capital Building for a short time.

Built on top of Denbighshire's Moel Famau in 1810, the 120ft-high (37m) Egyptian-style tower commemorated the Golden Jubilee of King George III.

The listed tower collapsed in a storm in the 1860s, and only the base remains.

The Jubilee Clock Tower is a Moorish-style Jubilee clocktower located at the intersection of Light Street and Beach Street in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. Built to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria (1897), the tower is sixty feet tall, one foot for each year of Victoria's reign. A corner of the wall surrounding Fort Cornwallis is situated behind the tower.

The clock tower is slightly tilted, a result of bombing during the Second World War.

Stanier Jubilee Galatea with Alberta number on the cabside and Sierra Leone Namplates stands at Carlisle after arriving from Manchester. Introduced from 1934 in Staniers massive restocking of the LMS. Not an immediate success due to the use of low degree superheat and draughting proporions. Although mechanicaly superior to former L&Y. LNW and Midland types not much more boiler power than a Claughton. A good example of this was the up Thames Cylde Express. If a Scot was not available and a Jubilee or Patriot substituted then pilot assistance was required to Kilmarnock from Glasgow due to Neilston Bank. This was a regular occurance

Despite its conflict of identity, undoubtedly irksome to many, the sheer joy of a Stanier 'Jubilee' in full cry on the Settle-Carlisle Railway is incomparable, and what a way to start the 2022 season of mainline steam. 45699 'Galatea' (aka 45627/45562 'Sierra Leone') heads the 1Z72 07:35 Manchester Victoria to Carlisle 'Cumbrian Mountain Express' at Helwith Bridge on Saturday 22nd January.
