Lake Josephine is a little lake just west of Swiftcurrant lake Near Swiftcurrent, Montana at Many Glacier. This amazing hike along the north shore (15kms) of Lake Josephine not only gives you fantastic views, but also brings you untouched nature, just a bit scary of bears, even with bears spray and music on during the hiking. Keep an eye out for moose at the head of the lake and mountain goats, bighorn sheep and the occasional bear in the hillside above…

Lake Josephine is a little lake just west of Swiftcurrant lake Near Swiftcurrent, Montana at Many Glacier. Along the amazing 15 kms hike trail is untouched natural. Bear spray is a must to walk along the trail, almost no people, apple music on (no cell signal) all the time to make noise to scare the bears during the hiking. I would like to see the bears when I was inside the car, not direct contact with them, they run super fast, human speed can not beat them…

Lake Josephine is a little lake just west of Swiftcurrent lake Near Swiftcurrent, Montana at Many Glacier. This amazing hike along the north shore of Lake Josephine gives you fantastic views. This wonderful shore is picture perfect and a great spot to stop and enjoy the towering mountains.

The whole 15 kms trails was a great experience except a little scary of the bears (with the bears spray and music on), keeping an eye out for moose at the head of the lake and mountain goats, bighorn sheep and the occasional bear in the hillside above…

The photo was taken in the morning, stopped at one of the small lake beside the Lake Josephine...

It’s not very often I bare my soul on these pages, but today I lost my Mum to cancer.

It seems an age ago since I took this shot in the woods next to my parents house but it’s only been 3 days. I knew when I processed the shot that I would keep it for when she passed, but as always you think you will have more time before the inevitable happens.

Will be taking some time off Flickr, thank you all for being a welcome distraction over the last few months.

Love you mum, and miss you so much already. X

A view taken while hiking around Lake Josephine there in Glacier National Park ... one great summer day to be out hiking there.

This is Lake Josephine there in Glacier National Park. Along some of the shore section there you can find these amazing colored rocks there under the water. My wife and I were enjoying the pretty day and hike there along the lake. Had this whole area pretty much to ourselves for about 45 minutes, which was nice! Liked this view with the shadow of the tree leading out to the clouds there in the sky.

This is the final acceptable image of Josephine's Lily, a single blossom on the end of a 20-inch stalk surrounded by 30 others that, had they been closer together, would have been a spectacular fireworks display. Or at least that was what I was expecting.

What I got can be seem below. I can't tell you how disappointed I was. At the same time, I knew I would post four sequentially for your pleasure. We've all been through this type of experience. Dickens wrote about it in "Great Expectations."

So enjoy this one starburst, while I go gather the elements of what could have been a dandy finale.
