This doll was "offered" to doll collectors in a giftset, with a full size, 3 fl. oz bottle of perfume priced at around $150 added to the price of the doll. The doll could not be bought separately and had to be bought as a set with the perfume.
I must say I am very disappointed to see faithful doll collectors being taken advantage of so blatantly by Jason Wu, essentially being forced to buy the biggest and most expensive bottle of designer perfume of his as a condition for being allowed to buy a doll, which is what collectors actually collect: dolls. Not perfume.
It is, of course, each collector's choice to pay (or not to pay) this ridiculous price. But I can also understand really loving something and seeing it dangled in front of your nose. It is tempting, especially if it is made hard to acquire. So taking advantage of that by tying the biggest, most expensive bottle of perfume you have to the object of collectors' desire (and that you know they love and will go out of their way to acquire) is just not cool. Not cool at all.
Someone should also remind Mr. Wu that his doll collector base are very unlike his rich celeb clientele. We cant afford his overpriced, haute-couture. We don't get multi million dollar comp checks like celebs. He should have found a way to push his overpriced perfume onto THEM, not on doll collectors. That's just taking people for suckers and reeks.

Her first photo shoot since repurchasing her. I immediately regretted selling Secret Garden and I even had two of her, what was I thinking?? But now she's back. I purchased her with her hair down but restyled it in her original style for these photos. She's dressed in Midnight Garden Aymeline's Jason Wu Gown and is wearing the jewelry from IFDC Monogram Doll, Dish. Her shoes are also Jason Wu but you can't see them under her gown.

No kidding… I was daydreaming the other night of Elise and I was thinking “What’s the next look for Elise?”… “What hair color?” And I thought of red! And here she is with red hair in the same shade of what I have in mind. I think it’s only natural for Elise to be a red head again… And I was also thinking of a neutral make-up palette. This Jason Wu Montaigne Market Exclusive is, pretty much, a dream! Time and time again I fall in love with this color palette which is very similar to Splendid Jordan, Elegant Evening Poppy and Optic Verve Agnes. Inspired from Jason Wu’s Spring 2014 Ready-To-Wear Collection, this look is very early 90s chic. Jason Wu’s Collection also has safari inspired jackets and jumpsuits which may be inspirations from the upcoming 2014 Fashion Royalty Collection. Let’s talk about the dress… This gold sequined dress is amazing! I love that it is a racerfront and that it is backless. If you look at the back you can see how the dress drapes and hang so elegantly… And of course below the knee dresses are always chic to me. So I did my little research and I am confirming that this Elise has the Flawless/Engaging/Dark Swan face screening. This time though, judging by her close-up promo shots (where you can find elsewhere), her eyeshadows won’t be airbrushed like how it was from the three earlier Elise I mentioned. Also I’m not sure if she will have a Japan skintone or a Cream skintone. From what I have observed, Elise looks better with the Cream skintone and with a solid vinyl head and not the wax-like translucent head that IT uses from time to time. If it was up to me, I would like that type of vinyl discontinued. Starting this month I will be saving some money and with an edition size of 300, I will try my hardest to get this doll. I would love if IT offers it as a lottery as well. If I need to man my computer just to get this doll from Montaigne Market, I will do it.

Donyale thinks of future concerts and entertainment plans she'd like to make:
"I wonder if I could go to the Billy Joel concert later in the year at Madison Square Garden. I really want to go to one of the Bruce Springsteen Broadway shows but they are sooooo sold out that when the run was extended, a news report said something like, 'Now you'll have even more chances not to get Bruce Springsteen tickets..' There must be something exciting coming up. I've just got to keep my eyes open....My friends have to keep me in the loop!"
