More lovely flowers I've seen in the grounds.

Jasmine is a genus of shrubs and vines in the olive family (Oleaceae). It contains around 200 species native to tropical and warm temperate regions of Eurasia and Oceania. Jasmines are widely cultivated for the characteristic fragrance of their flowers. A number of unrelated plants contain the word "jasmine" in their common names. A very common cultivar in California is the Star Jasmine which is an evergreen that flowers close to half the year.
This bunch, which are not star jasmines, was found in the Sierra foothills out Jackson. It was sweet smelling and had what I consider to be the other characteristic that sets it apart: when you cut the stem, the sap that "ours" out is in many ways the same as Elmer's Glue-All! Fair warning: wipe your shears' blades with a light machine oil, and be sure to remove all sap before stowing the shears away. (I am not advertising or recommending Elmer's: I'm sure that a third of the people who follow my stream (don't tempt me) have never heard of the brand. However, it is so popular that they have put out a gallon jug of the stuff that many schools use (and Amazon has copied). Having now proved that I am easily distracted...
The camera: White flowers are among the most difficult to photograph, and my solution - even 11 years ago - was to go for the black background! This may be the most complex flower bloom that I ever came up against. And now, *I* want to see the EXIF. (Well, you can't remember everything from a decade ago.) I'm fairly certain that I used the flash, very weak on an S3 PowerShot (the first so named by Canon). When it works as I hope, every nook and cranny becomes dark or black, something I could never do with software.
It's been awhile since I posted a photo of Jasmine. She's doing her favorite thing...sleeping on whoever has their legs out on the recliner. In this case it's my son. She sleeps most of the day and when ever she wakes up she demands attention. She's getting up there, she'll be 19 in April. She's the sweetest little girl.
Thanks for views, comments and favs :)

Kwitnący jaśmin przed naszym hotelem. Przepięknie pachniał :)
Jaśmin (Jasminum) – rodzaj roślin z rodziny oliwkowatych. Obejmuje ok. 200 gatunków. Występują one w strefie międzyzwrotnikowej Afryki, Azji i Australii.
