This is the view from our house on the Italian Riviera. Even though I took this picture two years ago, the view is always the same. We are looking east down on the bay, with the sea all the way to the horizon. All the weather phenomena, like this sunrise, can be observed so well. They are the same today as they were last year and the year before last.

Dedicated to St Mary of the Nativity (Santa Maria Nascente), it is the seat of the Archbishop of Milan, currently Cardinal Angelo Scola. The Gothic cathedral took nearly six centuries to complete. It is the 5th-largest church in the world and the second largest in Italy. from Wikipedia

Anna Camatta (b.1921), has worked in Milano as servant after the II world war. She never married and lived very independently. She is very proud of her past working activity and always speaks about a letter that Mike Bongiorno wrote her many years ago. She lives now in Mareno di Piave (italian Nordeast) in poor conditions helped by her neighbours.
