An issue we have not only in America, but around the world is the amount of homeless people. I decided to focus on children because they are so innocent and I feel like the lives that they live is unfair and I feel so sorry for them. I tried to portray what a homeless child may look like and what/where they may live in or near.
Issued by Danbury Mint in 2010. It is 1:24 scale.
A Limited Edition, # 908 of 5,000.
The model is finished in Wimbledon White.
During the summit, youth filmmakers were divided into seven issue groups. Each group is also a filmmaking team that will produce a 60 second public service message about one of the issues: poverty, racism, war, health, environment, women's issues and youth empowerment.
any guesses to resolve this? I feel its because of Graphic card's driver..otherwise the display is fantastic but in Nuke, when I view this, it gets screwed :(
Do you think we'll get a summer at some point? Okay, I know Wimbledon has been basking in a bit of a warm glow, but it's not really sparked into a full-on proper cycling summer yet has it? I mean, I had to don the waterproof jacket to work two days ago!
But you will find no such whinging within the pages of the latest issue of citycycling - online now, completely free (as ever) and full of a real motley crew of articles. For instance we have an attempt to apply some science with a theory on the 'curve of courtesy' and how, when and why you will be given adequate space on the road; there's a report from a rather brutal overnight ride from Dumbarton to St Andrews; we've been to Sloten for the CycleVision event; here a rather odd rant from Bristol after it has been announced as the UK's first 'cycling city'; hear Madam Raven dispensing even more excellent advice to the cyclists of the world; and much much more.
Remember, you can always get in touch, for whatever reason - I'll even give you my own email: anth@citycycling.co.uk. Let us know how much you love the magazine, or what you think we could be doing better, or even what you think we really should be covering. After all, if you give us ideas it saves us having to think them up.

The world has always stood with a heap of problems, but the forms of problems got changed. Then, it was hunger, dieseases and warfare, whereas it is terror grasping the whole world on a pretext or another. People are perhaps forgetting that we are gifting the next generation a burning and unsafe future, despite all the justification why the people are waging wars.
If we still dont stop, one day we will lose the reason for fighting, since nobody would be left alive to see our accomplishments of the wars.

While counting stitches for picking up the collar, I realized there was a huge difference between the two front pieces. Those green stitch markers should be the same distance from the shoulder seam.
The sleeves were picked up and knit down, so I couldn't just detach the sleeve to rip out the extra rows. At first, I thought i was going to have to rip out the whole sleeve.
_____________
This garment was knit in the round and the sleeve stitches were picked up and knit down.
While picking up stitches for the collar, I realized that the right front and left front were too different lengths. I could not just unseam the pieces to rip back the shoulder, the extra 10 rows because those rows were attached to the sleeve.
If it were only a stitch or two, I could ease it into the collar, but the difference was too extreme to fake it.
This is my process for repairing the issue.

Some days are grey. you wonder what good could result of them. you wander the streets. here there. the cold biting. not the least interested in Xmas shopping. coz it's been ages that you realized that Santa is one more person who's cheated you.
it's cold and sipping a cup of any hot beverage would do you better but you know you've got to carry on. coz there's no other possibility. taking photos. again and again. who said they will be interesting ones. you wonder. but you keep taking them anyway. coz you feel that's all the good you can do to yourself at least.
as usual you flick the map, walk 'le nez au vent'... gee there's lotsa wind...
and round the corner here she is. and you get that feeling. that you're so but so priviledged.
selling magazines to survive; 5 children. no husband. a foreign country. a place to stay but no more heating as the gaz got cut 4 days ago. selling these issues so that tomorrow some more tablets can be purchased for the paining tooth.
and before i could realize what's happening i find myself in a tight hug.
i feel sorry for those who are waiting for Xmas day to open their gifts! i get mine in various ways and quantity every day. human warmth... what a beautiful gift.
Thank you all for your caring attention.
it might be a winding road but with you it's well worth walking it.

The Big Issue is a magazine that is sold for a few dollars on the streets of major cities in Australia. The vendors are homeless and/or jobless folk who would rather sell magazines than beg. I wondered what thoughts went through the mind of one such man as he waited outside the front door of a large department store in Melbourne.
