Un grupo de diputados, liderado por Issa Kort (UDI) presentó un proyecto de ley que busca cambiar el nombre de el actual aeropuerto internacional "Arturo Merino BenÃtez" por el de "Poeta Pablo Neruda".
El parlamentario que cuenta con el apoyo de diputados de varias bancadas tales como Camila Vallejo (PC), Pedro Browne (Amplitud), Pepe Auth (PPD), Nicolás Monckeberg (RN), Gustavo Hasbún (UDI), entre otros, llamó a otros partidos a sumarse a esta iniciativa.
"Queremos presentar un proyecto de ley transversal que busca reconocer a uno de los cultores más importantes de las letras a nivel mundial y que es chileno. Nos referimos al poeta Pablo Neruda", dijo Kort
