Using a isometric box template I created an original brand of toothpaste with Adobe Illustrator. I wanted to give the feel that I had redesigned an old brand with a new image for contemporary markets. The color scheme envokes a minty undertone associated with most toothpastes. All supplementary information was included to make it look as realistic as possible despite the isometric perspective.

The layers within an isometric cube.

I started out on an Isometric grid, In my sketches I was trying to keep the shades gridded but still retain a certain amount of looseness that would be characteristic of a real coin stack. The most successful letters were the ones that started with a larger coin stack and then moved to smaller stacks near the bottom. I added in a variety of gradients and shades to try and get the effect of old and new coins. the blue background helped the small shapes pop against the background. I chose to leave texture and details out of the coins because they would get lost in the bigger forms and ended up just being distracting.
