Here lies raster-isometric-land. You were intended for a water cycle animation, but Im sorry. I should have kept you vector. You are costing me too much time and energy. You will be remembered as a sinkhole for my time, energy, and neurotic tendencies. You will not me missed.
I started out on an Isometric grid, In my sketches I was trying to keep the shades gridded but still retain a certain amount of looseness that would be characteristic of a real coin stack. The most successful letters were the ones that started with a larger coin stack and then moved to smaller stacks near the bottom. I added in a variety of gradients and shades to try and get the effect of old and new coins. the blue background helped the small shapes pop against the background. I chose to leave texture and details out of the coins because they would get lost in the bigger forms and ended up just being distracting.

Isometric Slides
Isometric projection made in February 2012 representing a 3 storey house. The drawing is made in 4B, 6B and 8B graphite pencil using a parallel hatching technique. Main purpose: using architectural elements for facades.
Tinkering with motion. A friend that didn't mind hanging closely. We studied eachother for quite a while. I filmed for a while and admired the non-human traits and smooth movements until some loud boaters scared 'em off.
