This morning, we visited an antique sale the next county over. It was located on the same grounds where colonial village reenactments are held, so they were some period looking structures scattered around.
This processing is a bit of a departure from my usual style, but it is a stockade after all. And stockades really don't lend themselves to bright, happy colors.

I wanted a strong silhouette and positioning the tree in line with the sun allowed a brighter exposure than having the full sun in the frame.
The European Parliament in co-operation with Irish Rural Link hosted a seminar on rural isolation in Ennis, Co Clare on Friday, 28th February 2014. Phil Prendergast MEP was in attendance and a special guest speaker was MÃcheál Ó Muircheartaigh, the former RTE sports commentator. The meeting was held from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm in the West County Hotel, Ennis. The seminar heard from experts in the field but the main purpose of the meeting was to seek proposals as to how the problem of rural isolation can be alleviated and develop polices to target the problem.
As I made my way up the slabs the lake was the prettiest blue with Witches Tower overlooking all.

95% of the time I'm completely alone. This was daunting enough when I was protecting myself from getting Covid. As a result healthcare is now done over the phone. What happens when you mix a poorly managed and run healthcare system, with a worldwide pandemic and folks are supposed to get quality care through the telephone? What happens when Covid and only Covid become the number 1 priority. What happens when one goes without access to care and treatment for an extended period of time? Well, you get me.
This is Cherry Knowle Mental Asylum in the North East of England designed by the Architect: George Thomas Hine it was built between 1891 - 1895 and an isolation hospital and infirmary block were added in 1902, and is 1049 ft long from end to end and with corridors over 300 ft long, its a very creepy place to be near on a dark or foggy night and i don't scare easily , patients have been know to escape form this building quite alot , its now abandoned which i think makes it more creepy , if you go inside the place alot of the old stuff is still left behind just as if they left in a hurry , operating tables , medical cabinets , beds , and even patients oil paintings.
This place is totally MASSIVE and it even has its own build in church ( which you can see in the picture, the bit with the tall roof) it has a swimming pool and a theater with stage and its own morgue to store dead bodies, all of witch has been abandoned , it was abandoned in 1995 , 100 years after it opened.
This place really is MASSIVE, it goes on and on, some corridors are over 300 ft long and the building is spread 3 floors, the church alone is over 100 ft tall, its unbelievable how big this place really is, its not possible to see it all at the same time.
This has been comented on, on TV and in the news papers as been the most haunted hospital and mental asylum in the country.
On the same grounds where this stands is the new Cherry knowle mental asylum buildings that now houses all patients , them new building are alot less creepy because they look more new ( from the 70's ) and don't look like the style of building norman Bates lives in ( physco film ) lol.

I love long exposures, everything to do with night time, the dark, sunrise and sunset.
I like to take pictures mainly at night , sometimes during the day and in dull and fading light and I will sometimes display the time and date the picture was taken too.
I tend to take pictures of Light trails, Motorway traffic, Street lights, Buildings, Landscapes, Bokeh, Night bokeh and Hexagonal Night Bokeh in and around the North East of England.
All of my pictures are 100% natural and untouched in every way without ever been Photo shopped or altered or messed about with in anyway whatsoever, No multi layered photography, No HDR's and No image manipulation of any kind, all of my pictures look just the way they did when I saw them at the time of taking and I'm VERY PROUD of that.
I don't do any photo processing at all, I don't even own any photo software.
All of my starbursts are all 100% natural without using any filters or anything else, as is all my bokeh, night bokeh and hexagonal night bokeh, its all natural, no funny gimmicks at all.
I don't do anything with my pictures apart from take them and then upload them , 99.99999% of my pictures don't even get cropped , they are all 100% natural and untouched and then uploaded.
