High up in the hills sits this lonely farmhouse. Surrounded by baron fells and huge skies.
As I stood at this elevated position I watched the light paint the landscape as the clouds rolled by.
I liked the third bust from my last pic a lot, so I decided to do a full look for her! ^^

I'm a little behind on my posts, but I'm still shooting!
My girlfriend and I were able to schedule a solo tour of Mammoth Cave (National Park) in Kentucky. It's the longest cave system in the world. Only 2 miles of the 288+ miles were available to see during the current pandemic. But we welcomed the social distancing.
This was also the highest ISO I have pushed my EOSR (12,800). I usually don't exceed 800 with my typical photos! So that is the reason for diminished clarity and sharpness as I reduced some of the noise in post. Overall quite pleased with the camera's noise reduction.

Soft pastel tones of the dawn sky at Dovercourt, Harwich UK. Longish exposure to smooth the water out using the 10 stop ND filter and almost a cloudless sky to complete the minimalist look.
Heyo!
Still alive here, I guess. I had four days away from school, so I literally spent an hour throwing this together - I had the base already put together from a tablescrap build. S'all good here... still. Pretty happy with this pic. God knows when I'll be able to sit down and learn photo editing stuff... Alrighty, I'll post on here again in around a month again. Take care!

Memories of Maui!! It was a wonderful island to visit and spend some quality time. Would definitely like to return one of these years.
My monitor lizard isn't faring so well during quarantine. Without my office's computer monitor to lounge on, he's losing his color. That is not a healthy pink.
Kudos to this video for instructions on easily isolating a color in Photoshop. Its focus is on red, but it works for any color or combination.

As the moon rose above Spitbank Fort it emphasised the isolation of the location. The former sea defence turned hotel is only 2km off Portsmouth but looks like it could be anywhere... or nowhere.
Single exposure using borrowed 50D w/ 100-400L. Minor exposure & contrast adjustments only; uncropped.

This was taken on a recent visit to Shellness to see the birdlife on this isolated part of the Isle of Sheppey. These shacks were spotted and looked a good subject. After trying several views I settled on this one which gave a sense of the wider landscape, on the boundary between land and sea. Used Nik Siver Effects Pro emphasise the sky and the marram grass.
