On my way home from shooting another location, I noticed that the flood lights at this rather isolated granary were all off. I quickly stopped hoping to get a few shots before the morning light. This was quite difficult as there is a chain link fence all around. I put my camera on the tripod and carefully put the lens through the small space between the gates in the fence (leaning the tripod up against them; I was very lucky it was a calm, windless night). I took a sequence of shots with my remote trigger (intervalometer) and packed it up and went home.
Shot with my Fuji X-T2 and Samyang 12mm f/2.0 @ f/2.0, ISO 3200, 3800K WB; (5) 15 second shots + (1) dark frame, stacked in Sequator with final edits in Photoshop using a few plugins and actions.

Another winter shot from the Upper Calder Valley here in West Yorkshire.
A couple of moments earlier the barn looked to be floating on a sea of mist, and this one was taken as it began to clear a little in the sunlight.
Living in the southeast, I've explored most of the my local countryside. So it comes as a nice treat when I stumbled across a lone tree I've not seen before.

I finally splashed out on an Mp3 player, and I am pleased with my purchase.
It has been a few years since I noticed the arrival of MP3 players made by then unkowns such as Rio and iRiver. Music players with flash memory and no moving parts had been predicted since as long as I can remember, so they came as no surprise, but at first I could not see the point.
The memory was small, it was irreplacable, and I did not know how to get MP3 files.
The player above comes with software for converting CD music to Mp3 and has 1GB of memory which is enough for 200 songs or about 12 hours of music.
It also has a voice recorder which I hope to use for recording English speakers for use as teaching materials. The reason why I purchased this particular player, at auction for about $150 USD, is because these older iRiver players accept an external microphone, which is pretty essential for recording dialogues.
The reason why I am recommending it here is because this player, weighing only 60gms including battery, with no moving parts, and an armband, can be worn while jogging.
My play list includes
Messengers, "That's the Way a Woman is"
Tracy Chapman, "Fast Car"
The Cure, "Close to Me"
Elvis, "His Latest Flame"
and
The Zombies, "Time of the Season"
The effect, the buzz, the improvement in jogging speed is phenominal. it is almost frightening. Now I know why Lance Amstrong has an Mp3 player built into his sunglasses.
This image was taken by me but is of a device copyright of iRiver. I hope they forgive my posting it here.
I continue to be amazed with the beauty of this isolated rain cloud formation that moved across the landscape north of Mahomet, Illinois on Wednesday evening. The evening sun provided all the lighting and color to paint such a fantastic sky.

Soft pastel tones of the dawn sky at Dovercourt, Harwich UK. Longish exposure to smooth the water out using the 10 stop ND filter and almost a cloudless sky to complete the minimalist look.

Heyo!
Still alive here, I guess. I had four days away from school, so I literally spent an hour throwing this together - I had the base already put together from a tablescrap build. S'all good here... still. Pretty happy with this pic. God knows when I'll be able to sit down and learn photo editing stuff... Alrighty, I'll post on here again in around a month again. Take care!
