So sorry for a re-post but this shot seems to have deleted itself from my stream?! I wasnt sure whether i liked it enough to re-post but as ever i thought i'd let you be the judge.
I originally took this shot when I was out walking my dog. I came across this lonely tree and i thought it would be rude not to get a couple of shots... I did ruin my trainers trying to get to it but hopefully it was worth it.
Lovely autumn colors on the wolly fringe moss which covers (some of) the lava fields of Iceland. I took this photo on the Snaefellsnes peninsula between GrundarfjörĂ°ur and StykkishĂ³lmur.
I continue to be amazed with the beauty of this isolated rain cloud formation that moved across the landscape north of Mahomet, Illinois on Wednesday evening. The evening sun provided all the lighting and color to paint such a fantastic sky.
158758, forming 2H85, Northern’s 0824 Carlisle - Leeds passes the isolated signal box at Blea Moor on 15 October 2021. Although severe winters still affect this location it's not as remote as it seems as a constant stream of walkers (and railway nuts like me) pass the site throughout the day

Cilaos is a small town in the Reunion Island interior, enclosed on a tiny plateau in a mountain circle, named "Cirque de Cilaos", created by massive volcanic activity. It can only be reached via a single road with more than 200 bends.

After walking the length of long beach in Russell I clambered over some rocks to this lovely isolated spot. I could not quite reach the beach!

My first trip out with my camera in 3 weeks with a wander round Whinlatter forest. Thankfully the sun had a day off today and there was even some patches of mist in amongst the woodland.
The second of two Sydney Coal Railway coal trains reloads at Whitney Pier on 7/8/2024.
This now isolated rail line, is the easternmost railroad in North America, operating around 14 miles from the coal pier to the Lingan Generating Station.
Trains consist of two GP38-2's built new for the Devco in the 70's and 21 hoppers. On this day this crew ran light to the power plant and grabbed an empty train and ran back to Sydney to get reloaded. The other crew ran up from Victoria Jct with a loaded train that had been loaded the day before and dropped it at the power plant. After dropping that train they ran light back to Victoria Jct. The empty train after reloading would also only run to Victoria Jct before tying down.

High up in the hills sits this lonely farmhouse. Surrounded by baron fells and huge skies.
As I stood at this elevated position I watched the light paint the landscape as the clouds rolled by.

Soft pastel tones of the dawn sky at Dovercourt, Harwich UK. Longish exposure to smooth the water out using the 10 stop ND filter and almost a cloudless sky to complete the minimalist look.
A double rainbow captured on western Dartmoor during a showery November afternoon. The bright green vehicle driving "through" the rainbow is a Moorland Fuel truck transporting heating oil to various isolated communities. Thanks for viewing.

Still alive here, I guess. I had four days away from school, so I literally spent an hour throwing this together - I had the base already put together from a tablescrap build. S'all good here... still. Pretty happy with this pic. God knows when I'll be able to sit down and learn photo editing stuff... Alrighty, I'll post on here again in around a month again. Take care!

Memories of Maui!! It was a wonderful island to visit and spend some quality time. Would definitely like to return one of these years.
My monitor lizard isn't faring so well during quarantine. Without my office's computer monitor to lounge on, he's losing his color. That is not a healthy pink.
Kudos to this video for instructions on easily isolating a color in Photoshop. Its focus is on red, but it works for any color or combination.
