A plate of milky water, blutak and God knows what flower from the garden

This cell was moving toward my location just before sunset. It was about 30 miles away. I did notice one lightning bolt on the right side but wonder if this storm will survive long enough to reach my location after dark?

J.Holiday ft. Nina Sky - Bed (remix)

Used a Cokin polarizer and ND graduated filter to get the exposure right.

Thanks to Astral Will for the inspiration for the title :)

Just playing around with depth-of-field.

Lost between the rocky shores of an island

Another image from a trip to this wonderful lighthouse, this is a location i shall be visiting again and again.

On the editing front I've tried to create an island kind of feel to the lighthouse, also I've tried to keep the image clean and not cluttered to let the lighthouse play centre stage to this simple image.

Just had some images printed from DS colour labs in pearl , highly recommend , the images have a metallic look to them. Very pleased with what I've received.

The city is pretty spacious now that the tourists aren't around

On the way to a milky way shoot late last year I happened to find this little tree isolated from its peers. I noticed that it lined up precisely with Mt. Hood and just needed a large zoom lens to reach it.

I'm always a sucker for an opportunity that pops up along the way on a photo trip. Some of the photos taken during these spontaneous moments are my favorite because I never would have planned them to begin with :)

First storm of a rather active weather day.

In an effort to get some fresh air, I went down to the access road at CP Cromby just in time for 94M to bring their aggregate loads through on their way to Girard Point. In charge was a pair of SD40Es.

An immature Bald Eagle flies over the Mongaup Falls Reservoir.

Another winter shot from the Upper Calder Valley here in West Yorkshire.

A couple of moments earlier the barn looked to be floating on a sea of mist, and this one was taken as it began to clear a little in the sunlight.

Presquile Provincial Park

Living in the southeast, I've explored most of the my local countryside. So it comes as a nice treat when I stumbled across a lone tree I've not seen before.

Some ask if androids dream of electric sheep. Instead, I wonder if drones ever feel lonely...

Dont look to hard at my jenky Photoshop skills. Took me ages to figure out how to remove stuff from the horizon. Anyway this is fromMeols Beach in the Wirral, 30 second eposure to smooth that water out.

So sorry for a re-post but this shot seems to have deleted itself from my stream?! I wasnt sure whether i liked it enough to re-post but as ever i thought i'd let you be the judge.

I originally took this shot when I was out walking my dog. I came across this lonely tree and i thought it would be rude not to get a couple of shots... I did ruin my trainers trying to get to it but hopefully it was worth it.

Lovely autumn colors on the wolly fringe moss which covers (some of) the lava fields of Iceland. I took this photo on the Snaefellsnes peninsula between Grundarfjörður and Stykkishólmur.

I finally splashed out on an Mp3 player, and I am pleased with my purchase.

It has been a few years since I noticed the arrival of MP3 players made by then unkowns such as Rio and iRiver. Music players with flash memory and no moving parts had been predicted since as long as I can remember, so they came as no surprise, but at first I could not see the point.

The memory was small, it was irreplacable, and I did not know how to get MP3 files.

The player above comes with software for converting CD music to Mp3 and has 1GB of memory which is enough for 200 songs or about 12 hours of music.

It also has a voice recorder which I hope to use for recording English speakers for use as teaching materials. The reason why I purchased this particular player, at auction for about $150 USD, is because these older iRiver players accept an external microphone, which is pretty essential for recording dialogues.

The reason why I am recommending it here is because this player, weighing only 60gms including battery, with no moving parts, and an armband, can be worn while jogging.

My play list includes

Messengers, "That's the Way a Woman is"

Tracy Chapman, "Fast Car"

The Cure, "Close to Me"

Elvis, "His Latest Flame"

and

The Zombies, "Time of the Season"

The effect, the buzz, the improvement in jogging speed is phenominal. it is almost frightening. Now I know why Lance Amstrong has an Mp3 player built into his sunglasses.

This image was taken by me but is of a device copyright of iRiver. I hope they forgive my posting it here.

I continue to be amazed with the beauty of this isolated rain cloud formation that moved across the landscape north of Mahomet, Illinois on Wednesday evening. The evening sun provided all the lighting and color to paint such a fantastic sky.

Sorry to bore you with another picture of this jetty. But after I'd converted this to black and white it just popped for me.

Cilaos, La Réunion, France

Press F11 and L for best viewing

Cilaos is a small town in the Reunion Island interior, enclosed on a tiny plateau in a mountain circle, named "Cirque de Cilaos", created by massive volcanic activity. It can only be reached via a single road with more than 200 bends.

Another image from Camber Sands. Who`s with me in enjoying being isolated from the race of life for a while?

Local River Birch really stands out from our other standard fare.

After walking the length of long beach in Russell I clambered over some rocks to this lovely isolated spot. I could not quite reach the beach!
